Hi, Most routers/AP of this type don't really need/have an installation software. Their configuration is done thru a webinterface which opens in your browser. If you have connected your PC via a lan cable to the router, then configuration should relatively be easy. The most that you need to do is to verify that your PC is set to Auto Obtain IP Settings Automatically, or if you have a your own network adds, you must change it first to match the routers. How to config
Try This:


1 connect your DWL2100 to your computer by cable and disable its wifi
2 reset your DWL2100 by holding the reset in for 5 seconds
2 set your computer ip address manually to 192.168.0.67 - (IMPORTANT)
3 open your browser and log into address 192.168.0.50
the DWL2100 wizard page should now open

be sure to check every point on this TIP
to connect to "prescribed site" (I assume the default router IP address 192.168.0.1) you must be on same subnet and connect using a cable to router.
Consult Quick install Guide
or follow user manual Page !0 instructions:
First, disable the Access the Internet using a proxy server function. To disable this function, go to Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings and uncheck the enable box.
Open your web browser program such as Internet Explorer. Type the IP address of the DWL-2100AP in the address field (http://192.168.0.50) and press Enter. Make sure that the IP addresses of the
DWL-2100AP and your computer are in the same subnet.

I have had similar problems with DWL-2100 and (much less often) with DWL-3200. I have no solution, but a workaround: changing the authentication mode. For example, if the units are using WPA-Personal, I change it (on both) to WPA2-Personal or WPA-Auto-Personal. It doesn't seem to matter which mode is used, it's just the fact of changing it that helps (eventually). You may have to go through the process more than once. Also, realize that although the web interface comes up 30 seconds or so after a reboot, it may take another 30-60 seconds before a link is established, so don't give up too soon while trying these changes.

DWL-2100AP
To use the DWL-2100AP as an access point (repeater), You have to set it up on the repeater mode and type in the MAC address of the router. The best way to do this is to run the AP manager from the cd.
