Chain and bar no or very little oil ,chain and bar getting very hot quickly.
the underneath of oil tank/engine area seems damp with oil
Hi there i had this problem check bar studs make sure there tight bar must be flush on chainsaw body not on stud flange if bar is on stud flange there is a gap so oil leaks out near sprocket and not in bar oil channel
I imagine that the oil tube and or drip hole for the chain is plugged up. Remove the bar & clean up all the wood chips, etc to see if the bar oil is working. It can also be the hose or tank connection. Rick
My saw was leaking oil . I took the handle off and took the plastic piece off the saw. the pick up tube is connected to that plastic piece . Cleaned everything with crab cleaner, put back together.. No more leaks. This was easy to do. All I needed was my chainsaw wrench that came with the saw...PS the piece I'm talking about is under the handle on the bottom of the saw.

I have a 021 and the bar and chain is getting no oil. Every time i open the oil tank it's full.! I cleaned it three times and still no luck.
When I have the bar removed and rev up the motor oil is pumped out where it should come out. I've cleaned the hole in the bar where the oil is supposed to go but when all is assembled as and run up no oil gets on to the chain or bar.
When new I could get a light spray, as per instructions, coming off the chain when running.
Also the chain saw leaks oil when not in use.
Any solutions?
