ATI All in Wonder 8500DV can't display video on TV

I have an ATI All in Wonder 8500DV in my computer. I have the PC connected to the TV and can see desktop and opened windows fine. Games also display fine on the TV. When windows media player shows "visualizations" during music playback they also show fine on the TV. However, when I attempt to play any video files, they show fine on the PC, but on the TV there is only blackness in the media player window, but audio is ok. Any suggestions?

The TV is tuned to show a frequency and hence like analog and not digital signals. If you covert the output to match that of your TV like NTSC or PAL or SECAM mode then they will be visible on your TV (depend upon your country's specifications)too. Hope this helps....sodeep
(PS There is an option in Nero Software)

How to connect tv to pc

To connect a pc to a tv the tv must be able to understand the signal coming from the pc. With most modern tv's you usually have a choice of inputs; composite, s-video, DVI, HDMI to name a few. Most pc's on the other hand only have a vga output which is not compatible with tv. If this is the case you will need to install a video card that supplies a signal your tv will accept. In the past I've used an ATI all-in-wonder-pro (which not only supplies various video signals but allows your pc to capture video as well as watch and capture tv with a built in tv tuner). ATI has been around a long time but nowdays there are these kinds of cards coming out almost everyday.

I need to know which button to press to connect my pc to my tv please.

Assuming you have the proper cable (S-video?) and made the proper connections on the TV,
check the ATI video display settings.

To turn on a video device, use one of the following methods: 1. Select Start > Control Panel > Appearance and Themes > Display > Settings. 2. Select the Advanced button. 3. Select the ATI Displays tab and select the TV Power

Good luck!

"No TV Tuner Device"

Sometimes laptop graphic cards don't support video overlay, a feature needed to display TV on the windows graphic environment.

I guess you're using the USB version and not the PCI card you selected here at fix ya.

Need help importing video from analog camcorder into my pc

The manuals seem clear to me. Did you install and read them? Some don't since they prefer printed manuals.
