Compressor will not come on fan comes on for a second or two and stops.

Likely needs a new fan motor. So the fan stops, compressor keeps running until it overheats as well, correct?

Very likely the little 12-volt fan motor in the freezer compartment has failed. The compressor will not start until that fan motor is running. Pull the plastic fan cover off (screws at top corners) and with the refrigerator plugged in, watch the fan for movement. It will spin and stop about ever 15 seconds. Unplug the fan connectors and the compressor should start in about 30 seconds. Replace the fan motor.

sounds like a blockage in the refrigerant circuit, the compressor is shutting down, protecting itself. possibly the compressor is overheating, possibly it's overcharged.

Compressor probably going off on overload,clean condenser,and cool compressor.If there is a fan,make sure it is running

possibly the relay on compressor is bad. the relay will need to be removed. shake it, if it rattles and or particles fall out of it, it is bad.

sounds like the condensor fan isnt running. I would replace the fan if thats the case. If the fan is running then you have a overload problem or a bad compressor

hello check engine light came on first things first check fuse for cooling fan second see if the fan relay checks out okay if so the culpret most likely your temp sensor is out of range the reason for the fan with ac this has a seperate fan relay good luck

When you push the power button, the blower fan comes on. In a few minutes you should hear a second "click"--that is your compressor starting. Do you hear that second click?

The compressor is located in the rear bottom on the right side looking at the machine. After you press the start button and the blower fan comes on, bend over near the back of the unit and listen for the "click".

Have you checked the capacitors ?
