How turn attention light off after replacing ink and cleaning printing heads

So from what I am reading, looks like this Kodak Easyshare 5500 model printer is known for going through printer heads? I found info on how to clean heads myself- cleaned them, and still with new ink cartridges gives the flashing attention light to replace cartridges. I have tried unplugging to reset but no go. Is there anyway I can reset this printer (or trick it?) LOL- Thanks! Joni

    after replacing new print head I got the same messege and have tried to correct it with Kodak. They are as helpful as teats on a bull! If you have had your printer for less than a year they say they will replace it for free!

Press Menu to display the Main Menu.
2 Press �� until Reset All Settings is selected.
3 Press OK.

This is the reset for this device

Kodak 5500 printer can't detect print head
open the cover and take out the printheads and clean the contact points. also clean the contact points on the printer.
reinstall it and see what it does,also try turning the printer off and on /
if this does not work you need a new printer /the printer hardware is bad for sure if you have already replaced the printhead and catridge .

if printer is in warranty ask for a replacement

It only prints light color ive replaced branw new
You need a new print head. Don't buy one, though. Phone Kodak (India) and get a new head. Or throw the stupid machine away. Kodak should be sued for producing such poor quality ****.

Prints Blank Pages...even though ink is full.
problem is likely to be the print head, the ink can dry up inside the print head and block fresh ink from flowing.

you can get print head cleaning solution from ebay, which sometimes works, or else go here to get your replacement print head

have seen this over and over again- the print head is bad. call Kodak at 800 421-6699 and let them run you thru some tests then they'll ship you a new one

You'll need to call KODAK to get a new printhead. The # is 1.800.421.6699. This is a very common issue, and they will give you a new printhead and a set of new ink.

Please call 1.800.421.6699 and select option 01 for prints missing black or color ink. Kodak will send you a replacement printhead kit for free. I hope this helps.
