SOURCE: Clarke AC 2005A air compressor will not start under pressure.

It sounds like you have a bad check valve. Remove the main discharge line to the tank and listen for air. If you have any coming out your check valve is bad.

SOURCE: I need a drain plug for a Clarke Air pancake two

Most drain plugs are universal, check your local hardwarwe. That is where I found mine.

SOURCE: I have a Clarke SHHH air 2/9 compressor

I also have a Clarke SHHH 2/9 with the same problem. I sent it off to machine mart service dept. in Nottingham who quoted £189 to replace a faulty pump. Am not going ahead with repair since replacement cost is only £250. Cost sending to Nottingham (from local machine mart) & cost of estimate & cost of return (to local machine mart) was £24 which I thought was reasonable. Very unimpressed with compressor itself wich failed after only light use.

WHERE CAN I FIND A CHECK VALVE FOR A CLARKE AIR COMPRESSOR 4 GALLON 2 H.P. MODEL AC 2001 B?

most non return valves ( check air valves ) are a generic product used on all compressors
try a compressor repair shop, on line to a compressor distributor that handle your make
if you take the faulty valve with you you may even get one from a good hard ware shop as the have spares like this on the self.

Compressor runs but the air bleeds out think it might be stuck reed

If your compressor reaches the cut-out pressure (or very close) , most likely not reed valves. Usually air leaking when compressor is shut off is result of leaking check valve at the tank. Look for brass valve and remove. Somtimes the valve is repairable if debris is keeping valve open. Clean or replace as needed.

I have a Clarke SHHH air 2/9 compressor

Hi

Can you hear any leakage, if not then I would suspect a valve is jammed open.

Gently tap valve housing with a soft hammer, may dislodge the valve.
