How to start up the hp pavillion dv2000 webcam?

Hi

i have a hp pavillion dv2000
and if i click the start key
then highlight my computer
i can see my webcam in there

also go to
start
programs
hp webcam

also did you have a user manual given to you when you had the laptop

Hi

i have a hp pavillion dv2000

to get to mine i do this

click on my computer
then on the right hand side you should see the hp webcam

or


start do this
programs
go over to the right and click on hp webcam
then it opens

and i have right clicked the hp webcam in the programs
and sent a shortcut for it to my desktop
so that when i want to use it i just click on the shortcut on the desktop

Look in programs for Cyberlink "YouCam". This is the software that runs the webcams for the HP DV series laptops. If you do not have it, click the link below and scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see the software download. After it downloads, simply run the installer program. Be patient with the installer program because it looks like it is frozen but it is not, it simply takes several minutes for it to complete.

try hard drive testing software.
If that no work - could be motherboard.

try to re install first the software or program then observe if the same problem,, check the lcd inverter...

Try doing a system restore on it.

There is a known problem with the video card in this machine, certain models are covered by an extended HP warranty.  Symptoms are overheating and finally not starting at all.

well, try hooking it up to an other screen and see if it boots up,if it does your screen has taken a flop if it doesn't your viedo card is gone. lala linda
