Tonight my HTC Touch pro just started turning the ringer/phone volume control up and down by itself, like if I was playing with the the scrolling keys on the side. When it does this it also loads up the voice command program.
I had it connected to a bluetooth stereo headset prior to this but it went flat. Even though headset is off and the bluetooth is switched off on the phone it just occasionally started ajustusting the volume settings and loading a voice command screen. The Headset I had connected to it can remotely bring the voice command screen up by pressing a button, why is it doing this though if its not connected to the headset as it's off and the bluetooth on the phone is off also.
I have tryed to soft reset it and also turned in off and took the batteryout. Ive even had it on charge and while there with nothing touching it, ot does it. The handset is about 2mths old. Anyone help???

this is actually a glitch with the BB storm.
Stick a set of headphones in the headphone jack for 3-5 seconds, then go back to the HOME SCREEN and unplug the headphones (dont go ripping the headphones out, as this is what i noticed in my issues causes the phone to become stuck in the first place, like pulling the headphones out in the middle of listing to a song or video).
Usually works for me. This has been an issue with many builds.
You would think resetting the phone would fix this, but it doesn't. Has something to do with the sound device software not recognizing there is no longer a set of headphones in place...

I think I have found out the way to solve this problem! I think! Ok on my phone I changed the power settings. Go to settings>all settings(if on touch flo)>system tab>power>advanced tab> then uncheck the two boxes that says "turn off device if not used for". Hopefully this works because I don't want to trade in my htc for another phone. Try it out and let me know if this works for you or not.
