You need to be more specific and tell what happens when you plug in the power cord and press the power button. There are a number of reason why a computer will not boot, but if you tell what's going on someone can help you.
Computers don't boot for basically the following reasons, 1) the power supply is bad. That means when you plug it in you don't see any lights, and when you press the power button nothing happens, you hear no fans, no beeps, no blinking lights, no hard drive spinning, no cd drive clicking and nothing appears on the lcd screen.
2) A motherboard issue, usually when this happens you will either see blinking lights or hear beeps. Those blinking lights and beeps are codes that tell the technician what is really going on.
3) Static Buildup - try removing the battery and the power cord then Press and Hold the Power Button for 30 seconds. After 30 seconds put the power cord back in (leave the battery out) and Press the Power Button. If it boots up you had static buildup and can replace the battery, count your blessings and Thank The Lord cuz a dishonest repairman would have told you he had to replace the motherboard for $300
This code sound like a power supply or battery depleted code. Your Power adapter may not be charging the battery. The battery made have reached "end of life".
hello...if you have extra ATX power supply can you try to replace then try to boot the unit if not working u need to try and remove board inside the casing and try to test only,Mother Board,Memory,Video Card And Power Supply of curse..thanks...^_^
Its certainly power issue..... i have had a similar problem with one other toshiba notebook and it was a dying battery....i suggest you to get a new battery for ur set...
Its the battery which is gone bad. It usually has a small chip infront of it and when it gets bad, then the power microprocessor detects it as a fulty battery and keeps the LED labelled battery below it blinking at 0.5 secs intervals. I still had the same problems and when i replaced the battery, then it was back online. If you want the POST technicals then google the following "Toshiba TE2100 blinking lights" Thats what i did
