1) Turn the printer OFF. 2) Unplug the printer's AC adapter fro the rear of the printer. 3) Unplug the AC adapter cord from the wall outlet. 4) Wait a FULL 10 minutes minimum...While waiting, go to step 5. 5) Remove the rear access door. Reach inside and rotate the rubber feed rollers on the shaft with your thumbs until they stop/click. 6) Use a can of compressed air and blow out the entire access interior. 7) Use a magnifying glass and a flashlight to to inspect for bits of torn paper or other foreign object that may still be locking the feed sensor in the feed position. 8) Try to locate the sensor and see if it is stuck. It should be spring-loaded and easy to move with a narrow screwdriver or pick. 9) Put the access door back into place (make sure it is completely closed/seated) 10) Plug the AC/power cables back in, turn the power button ON and test for a normal print process.
Hi,
follw the given step and check- 1-Before printing your document, be sure the page size is set to legal paper. Go to "File> Page Setup" and then click on the "Paper Size" tab. Select "Legal" from the drop-down menu.
2-Go to the printer and take out the paper tray. Remove the letter size paper.
3-Insert about one half of the package of legal size paper into the tray, depending on the depth of your tray. Larger printers can accept an entire package, while smaller ones cannot.
4-Make sure that the paper goes underneath the metal clips located at both the front and back of the tray.
5-For printers that don't have a tray, you'll have to manually feed the legal size paper. Locate the paper feed either on the front or rear of the printer.
6-Put a few sheets of legal size paper into the paper feed. The paper should be placed as close to the rubber spindles as possible. These spindles will draw the paper into the machine and feed it through the printer.
The paper feed solenoid is sticking, it can be seen thru a hole in the back with the door opened. Not easy to get to, but I have been able to bend the stop tab slightly and run just fine.
Go to printer and faxes and cheeck the preferences of your printer cheeck the number of copies and all strange that you will saw.
i hope my advice is helpful.
Perform a half paper path test. Put the paper in the manual feed tray, print a test page, when half of paper is pulled in the printer open toner door so the printer stops. remove the toner and check print is the issue there you have trouble with your toner cartridge. Otherwise there is an issue with fuser. Mostly I think you have an issue with tonercartridge, try take it out and shake gentle
1. Clear the print queue, and if there are jobs that won't delete, reboot the computer.
2. Now clear the jobs on the printer (cancel job button) until the status light turns green.
3. Put a piece of paper in the manual feed tray on the front.
4. Print a test page.
If the test page prints to the paper in the manual feed tray, then it is set as the default tray. Go into the printer settings and change it to "auto" or tray 1. If the test page prints to tray 1, but the original document you tried to print (when it got stuck) still won't print, cancel the job. Now, again, put paper in the manual feed tray. Try to print the document again and if it pulls from there, go into page setup of your document and change the setting from "manual" to "auto" or tray 1. Clear the job again (if it's stuck) and you should be able to print again. Hope this helps. This is one of the most common solutions - it happens a lot, especially with documents that are emailed from other people and once they get stuck in the queue, nothing will print (except the test pages directly from the printer, like you describe).
. Switch off the
printer and disconnect the power supply. Allow any residual charge
inside the all-in-one printer to dissipate before putting your hands or
any metal tools inside the chassis.
2. Pin down the exact
location of the jam. The 3 hot spots for a jam are before a sheet
completely leaves the paper tray, anywhere between the feed tray and
print carriage or between the print carriage and output tray.
3. Take off the front
paper tray if the sheet jammed while still in the front area of the
printer. If here, you should be able to see most of the paper.
4. Pull the sheet with
both hands and steady pressure. Do not tug as you might rip the paper,
leaving a piece deeper inside the machine.
5. Open the back panel to reach paper jammed between the feed-tray area and print carriage. Carefully remove the jammed paper.
6. Use the carriage
access door to get at a jam further inside the printer. You may need to
remove the print carriage to get to the jam.
7. Replace all parts and
return any access panels to their closed and locked positions. Plug
your printer back in and flip the power switch.
Print a self-test page from the unit to verify that it is working correctly. On the unit front panel, press Setup, press 1, and then press 5.
CAUTION: Jammed paper must be removed using the rear access door with the power cord disconnected to avoid mechanical damage. Do not remove jammed paper from the front of the unit.
Turn off the HP product and turn it around so the back of the unit faces you.
Disconnect the power cord from the back of the all-in-one. The power cord must be disconnected to allow the paper feed rollers to turn freely.
Locate and open the rear access door by pressing in on the left side tab and then pulling the door toward you.
Figure 2: Removing the rear access door
Inspect the pressure rollers on the rear access door and verify that they are clean and turn freely. Clean the rollers if needed with a soft towel lightly moistened with water. If the rollers do not turn freely, replace the rear access door. Click How to Buy on this page to order replacement parts.
From the rear access door opening, remove the jammed paper.
Remove the remaining paper from the paper supply tray. Discard any paper that is damaged or crumpled and then re-stack and reload the paper into the paper supply tray.
Reinstall the rear access door.
Reconnect the power cord to the unit and turn the unit on.
