XP does not recognize the Intel wireless network adapter

Hi
I have Dell XPS M1530. Originally it goes with Vista. I have reinstalled XP SP3. Now the system does not recognize an Intel wireless adapter at all - it is shown in Device manager as "Other devices/Network controller" as noname device. I have tried Intel® Wireless LAN Identification Utility, the result was "Wireless LAN Hardware and Driver Version:Wireless LAN Hardware not detected". The wireless LAN button is ON.

Please help me out with this problem.

Dell has a known problem with driver conflic the best remedy is to right click on my computer click on property open hardware uninstall the driver there and restart the conputer but first make sure you download the driver from intel and burn them on a cd then when you reinstall you won't have to try to figure out if everything is downloading also in security make sure that you allow this site so that all the drivers download.
but most of the time if these driver are on a card that is micrsoft certified it will be in the driver file and will reload automaticly when you restart the computer after uninstalling and it should elimenate the driver conflic.

Wireless connection drop

Good day,

I have one advice if this case happens again. Try to connect to your net provider in a less hot, humid, windy or noisy surrounding. Since signals travel thru sound waves winds and other noises can really make your connection drop and sometimes halt the connection.
Should you have questions feel free to approach this post.

Dell XPS M1530 has a Blu-Ray drive but can't watch BR discs. Computer does not recognize BR discs. installed Power DVD 9 and still doesn't recognize BR discs. It says that I don't have a CD player.

you need to check that you have the codec for BR video, if you goto http://www.free-codecs.com/ and download the XP codec pack (even if you have vista), install it and then run the DrWatson codec utility, it will list all the codecs installed on your PC. you can also download all the latest codecs from the site.

XP SP3 doesnt allow driver to get loaded

not a problem in xp sp3 under the device manager in system properties you will have a yellow circle and black exclamation mark and probably say unknown device or ethernet device. right click go to properties and in details tab you will see Device ID.. we can track OEM driver from this.
