Dear,
It is possible to reset the BIOS Password. But you have a laptop so
please do not try to reset the password at home witout a good knowledge of laptop hardware. It is very risky. So Please visit your nearest Service centre of dell. they will reset the BIOS password.

Look for the reset button that MOST laptops have, and powerdown and depress it (it's usually under a hole in the bottom of your LT's case) Also remove your battery pack first...

Go into your bias setting's and disable the password option on startup. restart your pc press F2, that should get you into your bias setting's.

You should be able to go into safe mode by holding down F8 on startup. Then once into your computer you should be able to change the password.

Please go to support.dell.com and go to download drivers. Enter your service tag (written at the bottom of notebook and a 7 digit alphanumeric code). You will be redirected to downloads. Download the driver and install.

I have purchased Dell Vostro 1015 without OS. 500gb/2gb. I want Xp drivers

You can download the drivers from Dell WEB site, the support download page. Make sure you select your model desktop or laptop, better still, type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on the bottom of the laptop and on the back or sides of a desktop. (If the Service Tag label is missing then go into the BIOS setting and on one of the BIOS pages, the Service Tag number will be displayed). This will open the page where the specific drivers for your model computer are located. Also make sure you select the Windows XP version of the drivers for your Windows operating system. Click on this link to download the drivers: -

Reset bios/cmos password

on the bottom of the vostro 1510 there is a large panel that covers the hard drive, wifi card, and cmos battery connector. remove the cover unplug the red and black wire connector and remove the battery. also make sure the system is unplugged from power. i waited about 5 mins and pushed and held the power button for about a min. after that plug the main battery in and test to see if your password has been removed

You say the drivers you have don't work, if your not 100% sure those are the correct ones i would recommend your to:

A. Locate the seven character "Service tag" on your laptop.

B. Goto: http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen

C. Type in you service tag; locate and download the correct drivers - using the "tag" to indentify you machine ensures that you only get the correct files.
