I have a clarke champ ac2110a compressor that is out of oil due to a leak. Where can I get parts online or where ever. And what kind and how much oil do I need to refill it?? Thanks!!!
I might need a rebuild kit-It ran out of oil and locked up-I have it broke free and it works, but for how long?? Who knows??? I might need a crankshaft bearing, and gasket kit. Who sells parts??I might need a rebuild kit-It ran out of oil and locked up-I have it broke free and it works, but for how long?? Who knows??? I might need a crankshaft bearing, and gasket kit. Barb: Your compressor takes standard 30 weight compressor oil or 30 weight motor oil... you need to put in the correct amount. The slow recovery is due to a leak somewhere. after adding the proper amount of oil, run the compressor and use a soapy solution to check for leaks. Check especially the tube that runs from the compressor head to the tank, and also check the air connection at the pressure switch. When you find the leak, you can disconnect the connection and use Teflon tape on the male end connector.
You didn't state your model number but the only place I could find that has manuals for Clark air compressors is Clark Power Porducts UK at: www.clarkeservice.co.uk/product_manuals/air_compressors.shtml. Usually if you have an air leak at the pressure switch when the tank is full and after the motor shuts off it is indicative of a stuck or broken tank check valve. Sometimes they can be cleaned and will work for a while but more often than not they have to be replaced.
This
company in liquidation in the US, however many of the same compressors
are available in the UK re-branded with different model numbers/names
(alpha name instead). Go down the list opening manuals until you find
similar looking parts. You may find same pump/motor components on a
different tank, however use manual information as needed. China made
compressor as yours will be sold by many different retailers under
different names. Look on ebay first "searching pancake" compressor for
likeness. The manuals listed below should clue you in. Good
luck.
Typically on the inside cover of the electical box it will illustrate the cut-in/cut-out controls. There should also be a fill port above the pump end of the compressor. Do you have a sight glass on the side of the compressor *(around the area of the leaking oil) usually if its coming out its due to overfilling or tipping over of the compressor.
