How do I turn backlighting on on my keyboard - IdeaPad Lenovo Computers & Internet

Turn on or off the backlight. If your notebook computer has a backlit keyboard, press the F5 key on the keyboard to turn the light on or off. It might be necessary to press the fn (function) key at the same time. If the backlight icon is not on the F5 key, look for the backlit keyboard key on the row of function keys

The backlight color toggle and brightness keys are located to the left of the backspace bar.

Hit fn + f1 than turn your keyboard light on via the settings.

To turn on the backlight on the keyboard follow the steps below. The keyboard backlight LED can be accessed through either the Quickset Utility or Windows Mobility Center depending on the installed application.Once this is open click on the Keyboard Backlighting section. Make sure the keyboard light is turned on.

Hi registrat342,Look on your keyboard & there should be 2 pictures that look like a sun on your function keys and 1 that is next to those but it has eyelashes and a box under it. Every keyboard might differ-but hopefully you get my point-as in 3 total 1st=dimmer, 2nd=brighter & 3rd would be the backlight. With mine-all I do is click it. Yours might be a little different. Hope that helps. Sherry

Set the brightness of the backlighting

1. In the device options, click Screen/Keyboard.

2. Set the Backlight Brightness field.

3. Press the Menu key.

4. Click Save.

Set how long backlighting remains on

1. In the device options, click Screen/Keyboard.

2. Set the Backlight Timeout field.

3. Press the Menu key.

4. Click Save.

Stop backlighting from dimming automatically

1. In the device options, click Screen/Keyboard.

2. Change the Automatically Dim Backlight field to Off.

3. Press the Menu key.
4. Click Save.

Hit Fn Key then F1 key

Toggle sequence: for the unit with backlit keyboard :

• 1st toggle: All system LEDs on
• 2nd toggle: Backlit Keyboard LEDs off, everything else on
• 3rd toggle: Multimedia touch LEDs and control functions off, everything else on
• 4th toggle: All system LEDs off and Multimedia control functions off

No i'm sorry but that model has no keyboard backlight. If you wanted one which did have a backlight you would have to purchase a customised one.

To turn on the automatic backlighting on a BlackBerry smartphone, complete the following steps:
