How do I hook up my 55 inch led tv to a stereo for better sound

In many cases newer tv's do not have an audio out, some have a headphone jack on the side (Small usually blue)

Otherwise if you are wanting to get better sound from a DVD / Blueray / Satellite / Cable box, You can put the audio from these devices into your sound system, then plug your sound systems audio out into the tv.
The video out from your devices will need to connect directly into the tv.

If using HDMI or S-Video that carries both audio and video, slitter / separation boxes are available, but usually degrade sound and audio quality.

The above would look something like

Cable box audio out (red / white) to Stereo audio IN. >> Stereo Audio OUT to TV audio in.
Yellow (Video) Cable from cable box then goes directly to the TV Video IN. Just make sure the audio and video cables are going to the same section (Some tv's may have multiple audio / video in's

DOES PANASONIC 42" VIERA TH-L42U5S" BROADCAST VIDEO FILES FROM FLASH DRIVE? WHEN I CONNECT MY USB DRIVE TO THE TV, THE VIDEO FILES COULD NOT BE RECOGNIZED BY TV, JUST MUSIC AND PICTURES CAN BE VIEWED....

No this TV does not process video files from USB. To improve sound quality reset the sound settings to midrange on all settings. Too much bass causes the sound to be muddy, especially on vocals

How do I get my Insignia 42" to show movies from my PC using an S-video cable?

Make sure your S-Video is hooked up.

Now navigate your way to the Display options.

Now either extend your monitor to fit your TV or move the primary display to the TV. Also make sure your input on your TV is set to S-video.

That should move your display settings to your TV. Also do the same thing for your sound if your computer still plays the sound.

Just go to your sound options and make sure your TV S-video is set to default sound and it should chance from your computer to your TV.

I would like to run my TV sound out of my TEAC AG-D9100. Can I connect my TV sound output to the VCR/VIDEO4 input without a video input and then switch to VCR VIDEO4 to get the output sound? I have the...

Yes, and if you have a cable/sat/dvr box why don't you just run ITs best TV-related audio into the receiver without watering it down through your TV?

I'm not so sure that running the TV video through anything else serves any purpose. Once TV has it where else do you need it?

Can we record with our sanyo drw 500 and a digital tv? If so, how do we do this?

If cable/SAT box, hook-up that box video/sound output to DVD video/sound input. If no cable/SAT box, hook-up cable from wall into antenna/cable in on DVD and tune DVD to channel wished, and hook-up DVD TV antenna out to TV antenna in. If DVD has no antenna/cable in, TV must have video/sound output. Hook to DVD video/sound input. Hope this helps.

Sound problem with recorded video.

Check your sound properties. It is probably defaulted to a low setting. Try raising the setting to one that says DVD quality and see if that fixes your problem. Hope this helps.

Toshiba 50HP66 Plasma TV

Found that video 1 and video 2 switching does not work. The switching IC was HOT!. Then found a third video input works but no sound. Hooked -up sound output of DVD player to amplified loudspkr and it works, I hate to throw away a 2 year-old plasma TV when TV and cable still works.
Thanks for the offer anyway.
