SOURCE: I had my Rolex watch serviced 2 years ago By Rolex and now

Either the stem or latch needs to be replaced. It's a common problem for ALL manual wind watches.

SOURCE: Match the year of my Rolex Explorer 1 from the serial number

I would expect Rolex to have a record of all their watches and if you contact your nearest dealer, they should be able to help you.

You can find a store guide on their web site "rolex.com"

Hello please help, I wish to know what year Rolex Oyster Perpetual Lady Date model 6519 was Manufactured. Thank you in advance.

This model Rolex has been manufactured over multiple years, and it is not possible to date your watch based purely on is model number. However, it is possible to date most Rolexes based on their serial numbers, which can be found stamped between the lower lugs (i.e., the lugs below 6:00 on the watch dial). You will need to remove the band from these lugs to read the serial number.

Dating the watch case of a Rolex does not necessarily date the entire watch. It is possible that a movement from another watch was placed into a watch case that is younger or older than the the movement. Like Rolex watch cases, Rolex movements can also be dated by their serial numbers, if this is a concern you have about this particular watch.

This jeweler has put together a nice summary of when Rolex watch models were introduced and which serial numbers are associated with specific years of manufacture. Once you have found your serial number, this should help you date your watch. I have no connection (financial or otherwise) with this web site, but I found the information useful and presented in an easy to understand way.

  • Take a look at the second hand. Is it ticking or is it sweeping? If it's ticking, that's your fake. A Rolex second hand sweeps around in one continuous motion. But beware, as of 2005, the good fakes have caught up to this technology.
  • Look for the small engraved crown at the 6 o'clock mark on the crystal. Most fakes will have some sort of large, obvious version of a crown, but this mark on a real Rolex is almost impossible to spot with the naked eye.
  • Look for the word "Rolex" and the watch's serial number engraved at 6 o'clock under the crystal on the area between the crystal and the dial. While many fake Rolex watches post-2005 have this feature, they're usually printed, not engraved.
  • Most new Rolex models have an added model number engraved at the end of the watch end-link. This engraving includes the band model and two tiny Rolex crowns. Your good fakes will have something similar, but not all three indicators.
  • If you're being sold an authentic Rolex (in good condition and in perfect working order) for anything less than $500, become suspicious. If it's in nice shape, it doesn't really lose a lot of appreciation, and in some cases, it increases in value.

  • Best regards. Jewel

Please tell me is is there a rolex quartz geneve 59312

mcdevito75 here, I can remember a good, good while ago,--------------Rolex does not make a quartz watch. ------------ Geneve is a good watch though. Chances are your watch is just a Geneve and not a Rolex Geneve or just plain Rolex.
