It is hard to tell exactly what is wrong without seeing it in person, but I can tell you what to look for. First check the power coming to the dryer.... is a breaker tripped? If you have fuses, make sure both fuses for the dryer are good. Even if only one is bad the dryer wont work. If you have a volt/ohm meter, you can check for power, first at the dryer receptacle, then where the cord connects to the dryer. It is important to wear safety glasses when doing this. Then you might check the door switch on the dryer. It is one of the first parts to go bad on some models. If you are not familiar with electricity, it would be good to have an experienced person check out your dryer.
your problem may be in the voltage that the dryer works on. If the cord is fine then I would check to see what voltage that may be supplied tot he dryer and if the dryer can operate on the voltage being supplied.
If the unpluging for the night helped reset the system and then worked? Then there is an electronic problem that needs to be addressed and diagnosed. You have 3 mor months warranty so I suggest you start using it now . Therefore you have a record of this problem before it ends and if anything happens after the end of your warranty they will help you anyway or replace the dryer for you ,ANYWAY! Yes they do that if they see there were defects prior to the end!! If you ever have a problem after the warranty is up call, " Whirlpool Consumer Affairs" They have the power!
Make an appointment with Whirlpool now and it will cost you nothing. Let me know what they find. Huuum
thank you but what the heck is a thermol fuse?
