Sometimes when I'm playing movies (blu-ray), my screen flickers,with the sound cutting out and the picture blanks out.There is a message that flashes on the screen, but I'm not able to read it because it flickers in and out in a split second.What do you think is the problem here? I have the ps3 60 gig version I purchased in 2007.

it could be your AV or HDMI cable witch ever you have try blowing them out or get a new cable hope this helps

The tracking needs to be adjusted. Sometimes it's a knob on the VCR, and sometimes it's a control on the remote. Adjust it for the best picture, and the sound shoud be restored.

The sound board is out in the dvd player. Try another source, such as cable, and/or a gaming system if the tv gets sound it is for sure the sound board on the dvd player. Always check to make sure the dvd player doesn't have a mute option.

try a new HDMI cable.

Check the 24 Hz setting in the BD/Blu-ray setting area. Some televisions do not support this option. Turn it off. It will prevent blu-ray movies from playing.

My screen would flicker when you tilted it back and forth. Sometimes it would cut out and moving it would make it come back on. I took the battery off and opened the screen from the front(2 screws in hinge & 2 screws under rubber plugs). There is a ribbon plug inside. Mine looked kinked in one spot so I just repositioned it so the kink was in another spot. Everything worked fine after that. Hope this helps.
