Bridge the amp is your speakers dual voice coil?if so drop the ohms of your speakers down to 2 or 1 ohms becarefull doing this though it will put more stress on the amp!! if you dont know how to drop the ohms down go to rockferd fosgates main web site look up your speakers and wiring diagrams for those specific speakers it will show you exactly how to wire em for the best sound.Good Luck! hope that helped.

Can I wire two p3 12 Rockford fosgate subs to a kicker 250.1 amp

It has two speaker terminals which allows you to wire muliple subs to the amp easier than trying to cram the wires all into one set of terminals. The two sets of terminals are wire in parallel internally on the amp, so it matters no which + or - you use on it. However, you need to remember they are already wired in parallel internally, so if you were to wire up two 2 ohm subs, the amp would see a 1 ohm load (which it's not stable at), not a 2 ohm.

Does anybody know what watt this is. it's sosed to be a 2400 watt and why does it have 2 ports on each side to hook up speaker wire And what's the best way to run it with a 800 watt Rockford fosgate

dual voice coil subs hook up mono on amp, from amp - from right side + from left side of amp run to sub n then jumper wires from one side of sub to the other side goes negative jumps on positive and positive jumps on negative

Sub Wiring

Hello jtkpay,

Rockford-Fosgate claims their latest V-power 1500bd is stable to 1 ohm, and I would think that your Oldschool would also be. The 2 wiring options for 3 subs with 2 ohm dvc would give you a 1.34 ohm load and a 3 ohm load. The 1.34 ohm option would mean more watts to the subs, but the amp will run hotter. The diagrams look like this:

Using just 2 of the Kickers, you can wire 3 different ways, with final impedances of 0.5 ohms, 2 ohms, or 8 ohms. You do not want the 0.5 ohm load. It's bad for the amp. You don't want the 8 ohm load. It doesn't allow the amp to produce as much power. So that leaves only the 2 ohm, with coils in series and subs in parallel. It looks like this:

Hope this helps. If it does, please rate as "FixYa".

Rockford Punch HE2 wiring question.

if your sub will handle it, bridging it will give you more power. The best thing to do is to find out how much power the amp puts out ( RMS ) and if it is in your power handling range bridge it. It sounds better and gives you a harder punch because of more power.

Sub hook ups

There's a lot more factors involved than that.
  • Power capability of the subs
  • Type/size of the sub box
  • Allotted space in the vehicle for the sub box
  • Voice coil impedance of the subs versus the capability of the amp
  • Etc.

Rockford Fosgate 800a2 To 2 SVC 2ohm subs

Ok.. Bridge the two sub into 4ohm than bridge to amp.

So. this how it goes.

sub1 + -
to      | |
sub2 - +
=      4ohm

           From Sub
                Two
            -          +
            |           |
amp (L) - + (R)- +

This will use the full potiental of RF 800a2 amp. I believe it like 1153 watts max out.
