MAH 2400 AWW flashing error code "dc"

We've got a front loading Maytag washer that is flashing an error code "dc" and won't finish its cycle. We've tried moving it on to rinse & spin, and spin, but it shows 6 mins left, then after 40 secs of so, it stops and flashes the error code again. Any ideas? We are without a manual.

Hi Pepsi,
"dc" means that the control board is trying to ramp up (that is, send a signal to the motor controller), but has encountered an unbalanced load and so shuts down. Specifically, "dc" means "distribute clothes".

I took this opportunity to upload a Tech and Troubleshooting manual for you. Here is the link for it. Read it carefully. You will be required to perform a "board output" test after placing the machine in "Service Mode".

I gotta tell ya, though. Based on my history with these, I highly suspect that the machine control board has failed. Let me know what you find, OK?

(And don't forget to rate this solution as "FixYA!", deal?

I have a Maytag Neptune MAH 6700 AWW. It is shutting off and giving error code tE. Customer service does not recognize the error code. Can you help?

This is a problem with the signal from the water heating element "Thermistor" a Thermistor is a solid state sensor that senses temperature, in this case water temp. The Thermistor is part of the washers water heating assembly and not sold separately from it. There is a factory repair bulletin associated with the problem and the new part has improved reliability. I can't understand what the Maytag folks you called would tell you it is not listed, it is a common fault in the Neptune. Please rate my help. Thanks

Wont Finish Spinning stops and Flashed DC

If the machine type is a FAV6800A/FAV9800A see this Clutch repair post if you want to DIY. You will find links to the Service Manual and parts info if needed.

You can check out the TDS but I would go right to the Clutch repair post if the machine shuts down in with a error code dC or uC.

That means the TDS is producing analog voltage swings +3.5VDC to 0VDC to the input of the Control Board Conn_P3 pins 10 and 11. Those DC voltage swings are at the design limit of max Wash Tub movement and the Control Board shuts the Spin Cycle down……..so thebTDS is working as designed.

The machine will make several attempts to redistribute the load before error code generation failing with dC or uC error codes.

Post back if you have questions any DIY'er with basic skill sets can do the Cluch maintenance/repair.....Rich

ND Error code

Error code "nd" means it is not draining. Click on this link to get the user manual:

http://laundry.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/maytag/mah24.html

Then click on "GET THIS MANUAL" to download the manual.

Not draining can be caused by the controller, pump, solenoid valve, or clogged drain.

If this information was useful, please select YES to the first to rating questios. Good Luck and thank you!

Error code of "dc" on my TL Maytag Neptune

If your machine is FAV6800AW or FAV9800AW the dc/UC errors are caused by a clutch malfunction. Your machine is shutting down with those errors so your Tub Displacement Sensor is working as designed.

Fix the Clutch malfunction and you can wash a single sock or a load of blue jeans and you will not take the dc or UC unbalance errors. See this post for the fix.

Post back if you have questions or need help.

My Maytag Neptune 7500 front load washer will not turn on when the AC or heat is running

Check voltages at the outlet. My guess is that you are on the HVAC circuit, and the Neptune is more sensitive than your hvac equipment. Also check that the neutral is about the same potential as the ground.
