Please make sure first of all that you feel comfortable bwith taking apart your laptop.
If you go to the support site for Packard Bell, you will find the technical manual or users guide for your laptop. Follow the instructions carefully to dismantle your laptop. One site you might find useful is called www.?nsidemylaptop.com They have very good instructions including illustrations for all makes and models. One secret is a screw that you will find on the motherboard labelled HOLE. It is the final screw that holds the bottom to the top. It can be difficult to find, and sometimes there are two HOLE screws. once you remove that screw, you will have to unscrew the heat sink and then you should have no problems. Good Luck
