I have a Dell 2007WFPb 20

If your LCD monitor displays your desktop fine as it boots up and then goes blank after a few seconds, but you can still faintly see your desktop then this may seem like a brightness issue but it's not. The picture displays very faintly, this is because the LCD backlighting isn't working properly. Which in turn is either because (most likely in cases like this) the inverter circuit has failed or the cold cathode tube has blown. If you're new to the electronics business and are not sure how to solder and connect circuits then this is the job for a qualified repair technician. So i suggest you head on down to your local PC store and have a technician take a look.

If you want to try it youself go here to order some spares.
If the monitor switches off and you can't see your desktop faintly then this may just be a power saving issue. Yo fix this check out my other tip here.

If your monitor is less than a year old then I suggest you take it back to where you bought it and have them send it in for repairs or swop it out with a new one. LCD monitors usually have at least a 1 year warranty sometimes it can even be up to 3 years if you register yours when you purchase it or if it's a really expensive screen.

If the monitor is a good 4-5 years old then it may not be worth fixing or may be too expensive. I suggest you invest in a newer widescreen option. LCD monitors have drastically come down in price over the years and you can easily get a wopping 23" for as little as $180.

No power ho to remove cover to check fuses

You lift up the front bezel and then work your way around, when yoy have to the top and the Left and Right bezel loose, place the monitor face down and then remove the back, just watch out ont e front panel cable.

Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). I need to find out how to remove the power steering pump on a 2006 pontiac grand prix 3.8L

Power Steering Pump Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the accessory drive belt.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
3. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
4. Disconnect the power steering pressure hose from the power steering pump.
5. Disconnect the power steering return hose from the power steering pump.
6. Disconnect the harness connector (4) from the power steering pump (1).
7. Remove the power steering mounting bolts from the power steering pump.
8. Remove the power steering pump from the engine.
9. Remove the power steering pump pulley from the power steering pump.
10. Remove the power steering pump reservoir from the power steering pump.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the power steering pump reservoir to the power steering pump.
2. Install the power steering pump pulley to the power steering pump.
3. Position the power steering pump to the engine.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
4. Install the power steering pump mounting bolts.
Tighten the bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
5. Connect the power steering pressure hose to the power steering pump.
6. Connect the power steering return hose to the power steering pump.
7. Install the harness connector (1) to the power steering pump (4).
8. Install the accessory drive belt.
9. Fill the power steering system with fluid.
10. Bleed the power steering system.
11. Operate the power steering system and inspect for power steering system leaks.

I have a Dell 2007WFPb 20`` Widescreen TFT Flat Panel Monitor. I cant seem to power up. What is the problem here?

Hi,

Here is one of the simple solution to your issue.

I suggest your try a different outlet, if your using a strip, try connecting it directly to the power outlet. Also most of the monitor has the same power cable as the computer, try swapping the power cable and make sure only the power cable is connected to test the monitor. If still doesnt power on, call Dell and have it replaced if still has a warranty if not, repalce the monitor.

I have moved my monitor to another computer and the USB ports no longer work??

Did the monitor come with the computer that you are moving away from?

If so, it's because the 'drivers' were already installed for when the computer was made.

Some Operating Systems (Like Vista) will automatically detect the new software (your monitor) and download the necessary drivers.

However, if you have moved the monitor to a computer that is foreign to this particular monitor, you will need to go to Dell.com and locate your monitor and download the drivers for it.

Save the file to your desktop and once downloaded, double click the icon and follow the on screen instructions.

Dell 2007wfpb monitor. No power present. Looked at capacitors but saw nothing unusual.

First check on the fuses in the panel, if bad replace with the same current rating, but if ptherwise Power supply board just die.It can be dead at anytimes.Tries websites Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Power Steering Pump Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the accessory drive belt.

Won't power on

  • If the product uses a power module (adapter), go to Step two: Check if power is supplied from the power module.
  • If the product uses only a power cord, go to Step three: Check if power is supplied from the power cord.If the product uses a power module (adapter), follow these steps to make sure that power is properly supplied to the product. Figure 3: Power module c00745315.gif
    1. Check the power module part number against the part number listed in the User’s Guide to make sure that the proper power module is being used.
    2. If the power module has a permanently attached power cord, do the following.
      1. Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.
      2. Disconnect the power cord from the product.
      3. Wait 30 seconds.
      4. Reconnect the power cord to the product and the wall outlet.
    3. If the power module has a detachable power cord, disconnect the power cord from the power module and reconnect the power cord to the power module.
    4. If the power cord was plugged into a surge protector or power strip, plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet instead.
    5. If the product does not turn on, or the power light built into the power cord does not glow, plug the product into a wall outlet in another room.
      • If the product or power light turns on when connected to a wall outlet in another room, there is an issue with the power supply in the previous room.
      • If there is still no power to the product, then the power module, power cord, or product might be defective. Proceed to the next instruction.
    6. Connect the power module or power cord to another HP Deskjet or Photosmart product to see if the power module is functioning.
      • If the power light does not glow, the power module might be defective. Replace the power module and the power cord.
      • If the power module or power cord works on the other product, the product facing the issue might be defective. Proceed to Step four: Service the product.

  1. Inspect the power cord for visible damage.
    • If the power cord is damaged, replace the power cord.
    • If the power cord is not damaged, continue with the next instruction.

  5. Reconnect the power cord to the product.
  6. Reconnect the power cord to the wall outlet.
