Hello, my problem is this when i start my pc its alway asked about time and boot setting then i go to bios seeting and change time and hard disk option tunr none to auto then restart computer then computer start . i hope you will understand my problem and u will give me the solution. oh one thing more i changed my pc battery but the problem still there. thanks
Did you select save settings before you exit? And also I experienced that before changing the battery doesn't help turn out to be new battery is dead also or is not giving enough juice.

I'm suspecting you have set the PC to use legacy boot instead of EFI. You can try this:
1. hold the power button and let the system shutdown (say 8 seconds)
2. power up and immediately start taping the bios key (usually F2, DEL OR ESCAPE); you have to tap it immediately and as much as you can, probably you set a very low boot delay time!
3. Set the boot back to legacy
4. Ensure there's no DVD in the drive
5. If you get in the bios, set your first boot device as USB HDD; just in case you need to rescue the system using some usb based rescue software; it's always a good practice to keep usb as the first boot device; only downside is you need to always ensure no usb devices are attached on reboot else boot times may delay while searching usb drives for boot info .
6. Reboot.
During start up of your system constantly hit either F2 or F12 to enter Bios.
Once in Bios you can configure your boot settings to boot from Your USB device. Bios is pretty self explanatory even for those of us not to familiar with it myself even. Unfortunately mouse is not usanle in Bios. I've had to go to Bios many times on older systems just to boot from cd/dvd Also to correct problems others have made in the boot settings.
Anyway In Bios there is a little summary of each changeable feature within it. Once you make your selection(s) make sure to save changes so you do not have to keep resetting them to your own personal preference. You should be asked upon exiting if you want to save. Your machine should automatically restart and ask you to press any key to but from your device. If you do not hit any key your machine will but normally from harddrive and you will have to restart the system and wait for it to ask again.
If you had taken the time to post the computer manufacturer name, and model number; I would know what motherboard we're dealing with, and what type of CMOS battery it uses.
Generally the battery is a CR2032. A type of watch battery. Positive ( + ) side ALWAYS goes UP
Try changing the power suppy first.
The process of booting always starts with BIOS saying hello to the RAM, the Bus, the Processor, then back to RAM, and BIOS.
Make sure your Power Supply is good. Then make sure your processor and RAM match what is recommend by the Motherboard Manufacture. Many times the simple voltage missmatch of RAM and motherboard will stop a new PC from booting.
Hello, after booting OS WIN98 is NumLock set according setting in BIOS of the computer. Try to get into the BIOS (pressing a special key during boot - usually Esc, Del, ...) What key, it is often shown on screen at booting time (or in users guide to PC or its mainboard). Look into the BIOS, and do not change other settings - just set NumLock on start to OFF. Be careful - do not change settings which purpose you don't know / improper settings could cause PC not to start. If you are not sure, you have always possibility to leave the BIOS without changes - leave without saving. If you are sure, you have changed just the NumLock key status, select Save BIOS setting - of course.
these settings are related for boot up troubleshooting....system need startup point that is called boot up point.. Now there is sequence for search for boot up device that contain boot up point These device consist of floppy drive, hard drive, cd rom, usb drive and lan.....so try to set your boot device priority with hard drive as first device....this will solve your boot up problem....do reply back
There may be many issues, lets start with the most common one,
When the notebook is starting up press the button it states to "Enter Setup" (I mean BIOS). (May be F8 or DEL) {differnt for diffent machines}.
When entered, there find the Boot sequence under the boot ot boot order menu (This may also be different for diferent machines).
When found, there set the "First boot device to be "CD/DVD" not the IDE/HD/Hard Drive.
Not put the CD, it will boot hopefully.
If the problem prevails, or there is already CD as the 1st boot device.
Then don't hesitate to contact again, and also state the error you are getting when trying to boot.

The cause of this problems is a corrupt boot files, Settings for hard disk drive are not correct,Floppy diskette or CD in computer causing issue, Boot devices not set properly, BIOS corrupt or misc. hard disk jumper setting not set properly, Connections loose or disconnected, Bad Hard disk drive or other bad hardware.
Note: Try this first. Check the cable setting of your hard disk in the BIOS. try swithching it to IDE, SATA, RAID. save your seetings and restart your computer.
if problem still exist... Follow this steps..
Step 1: If you have a USB stick with capacity of 4Gb and up or another hard disk... try installing a fresh Operating System in the USB stick or in the extra hard disk that you have.. after you install.. boot to bios and set the Primary boot in the extra hard disk or Removable Device (USB) save your settings and restart.. your computer will start normally booting the windows in your newly installed extra hard disk or USB stick. when you are in the Desktop, now try accessing your old hard disk and copy your files.. after you backup your files to the new installed hard disk. go to step 2.
Step 2: Turn off your computer... uninstalled the newly installed hard disk or USB.. after you uninstalled the hardware.. turn on your computer and reinstall your Operating System again. if the problem still exist go to step 3.
Step 3: if the problem stil exist. i think ther is something wrong with your hard disk.. try installing the OS again in second partitioned of your hard disk.. create first partition, then second partition. then installed your OS in second partition... if the problem still exist and you cannot go to windows desktop.. maybe your hard disk drive is damaged...
Reboot the computer and enter bios by..
When the blue DELL™ logo appears, press <F2> immediately You might have to try this a few times since you have to be really quick,
In system setup (bios) Set CD Drive as first device in the boot sequence. Press F10 then chose "Y" to save.
Reboot.
When asked if you want to start on CD just press any key.
Do you have the PXE error? The media failure is in the boot sequence, on the toshiba press F12 on boot to change boot priority, select cd/dvd or hard drive, or to preclude from happening, press F2 on boot enter BIOS, select Boot options make sure to set priority as cd/dvd, then hard drive, then network or disable network boot. network booting causes media failure.
