No it's an AC output adapter. 16 Volts AC. I thought it would be DC also but after looking at the output on the plug it showed AC. I measured the voltage and got 19 Volts AC. However I still can't get my display to work so I'm tearing the phone apart now to see.

A 9116 N has a power brick that needs tone plugged in to it. They are usually a black power brick. Without the brick there is no display If you are referring to no caller I'd. That is a function that you have to ask for from your provider. A blank screen usuall has a funny weak ring also. If you have a grey power supply look at the voltage on the brick if it say that there is ACvoltage output. It is not the correct one. You need to have a DC voltage output on that type of phone

Fix display lines justification on Aastra M5316? It’s so left justified that first bit of info is cut off.

To adjust the display lines justification on an Aastra M5316 phone, you can follow these steps:
  1. Press the "Menu" key on the phone.
  2. Use the arrow keys to scroll to the "Contrast" option and press the "Select" key.
  3. Use the arrow keys to adjust the contrast of the display until the lines are fully visible.
  4. Press the "Next" key to scroll to the "Line Justify" option and press the "Select" key.
  5. Use the arrow keys to adjust the line justification until the lines are properly centered on the display.
  6. Press the "Save" key to save your changes and exit the menu.
If you continue to have issues with the display lines justification on your Aastra M5316 phone, you may want to try resetting the phone to its default settings. To do this, press the "Options" key on the phone, then scroll to "Reset Phone" and press the "Select" key. Confirm that you want to reset the phone and it should revert to its default settings, including the default display line justification.
If the issue persists after resetting the phone, it may be a hardware issue and you may need to contact Aastra customer support or a qualified technician for further assistance.

Need to adjust date and time on screen.

Just above the Hold button, with the Aastra name display, that is a sliding piece that will uncover your setup menu button. Press that and navigate to time/date settings.

Hope this was helpfull.
