This is a pretty nice system. I don't know if it has HDMI output that you can try connecting to a TV?
When you get that message on a typical desktop, usually the cable has come loose. The same can happen inside these units.
Are you familiar with doing a 'Safe Boot'? When you start the computer and before you go into Windows, keep pushing the F8 key.
An option that comes up will be to Boot Into Safe Mode. If your screen comes up normally in Safe Mode, then you only need to update your display drivers from Acer. If you can't see your screen, you probably need someone local to fix it. The repair isn't hard, it just may be intimidating to someone who has not done it before.

Hi,
first try booting the laptop and pressing the Fn key with the numerical ( numbered key ) that has a picture of 2 screens on it. This is for booting to an external monitor. you could also try adding an external ( pc monitor ) this will eliminate any motherboard Faults.
Secondly, the graphics chip driver may be corrupt or not installed correctly. if you have a restore cd, you could try booting the laptop, with the cd in the drive.
you can then try, to see if the settings in the bios are all correct, by booting/starting the laptop and pressing esc or F2 or delete immediately as the laptop starts. ** Be-Careful** what you adjust.
My suggestion is to look for. ** default settings tab** or load setup defaults.
these are the obvious things to try, before assuming that you have a faulty graphics chip or motherboard fault.

Make sure the cable to the PC is secure by tightening the screws on each plug. If the problem still exists then you need to take it back to the shop where you bought it from. It could be a fault graphics card or connector.

I have looked at the specifications listed above and they seem good. You will have a good sized screen for video playback and working on.
Enjoy!
Take care!
