The alternator is bad. IT is not charging the battery. When the voltage drops on the battery it dies, When you jump it the bike starts because power is coming from some other source but when you disconnect that source it dies because the battery has not charged back up.
IF THE MAIN JETS ARE STOPPED UP A TEARDOWN WILL BE A MUST. Sorry To check this out get the bike ready and warmed up. Start out normal and when it starts loosing power choke the thing a little. and increase choke until it runs "stronger" if this works then the carbs are stopped up. Main jets Good Luck and Ride Safe
Hi ,
Check all connection , fuses .
You may found that while riding a connection got loose and therefore lost the contact and power to the entire bike .
try to source from the battery and make your way to your ignition .
Probably fuel system has trash in it, The oil light comes on after engine dies would be right as the ignition is still on and no oil pressure.Fuel stabilizer may have caused trash to break free and stop up the system. Also vacuume to fuel shutoff could be off or stopped up too.
You bike is missing on one cylinder. Since it comes and goes, it could be a spark plug or plug lead. This is the easiest solution, but there could also be a problem with the fuel injection system. Fit new plugs and test the plug leads. If the problem still exists, have the fuel injection system checked out.
