They are not bad , a few phillips screws and a ribbon cable and thats it , you can usally open the door to see the screws. Turn off the breaker before you do anything.

LG LMV 1680 ST shows error AC-1 and will not heat. The turntable does not turn either. The exhaust fan still works and the control panel still responds. What does this code mean?

Check the fuse. Also check out the safety switch by the unit door. If not closed when door is closed, no power is applied to either the turntable or the tube.

Samsung microwave says-SE- but won't respond otherwise

"SE" means you have a defective membrane keypad.

With your full model number, I could have given you detailed instructions and parts numbers.

But without that, I'll have to just be generic.

If your model's membrane keypad is available as a separate part, that's usually the cheapest but most involved way to fix it.

Here is a handy guide with pictures showing you what's typically involved.

If it's not available separately, then you can replace either the control panel frame assembly, which comes with a new keypad on it, or the entire control box / controller assembly.

There is a a YouTube video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

MICROWAVE BUTTONS WILL NOT RESPOND TO ANY ACTION. IS THE MICROWAVE LOCKED.

Hi and welcome to Fixya, I am Kelly. This is usually from the Child lock being activated: 1. Touch STOP/CLEAR.

2. Touch and hold START/ENTER more than 4 seconds.

LOCKED will disappear and two beeps will sound.

Thanks for choosing FixYa, Kelly

LG LMVM2075 Microwave Control panel does not work

The keypad has failed and it is available as a part of a new outer door panel, whose part number is 383EW1A130E for $103.19 plus shipping.

You can get it from Encompass here or you can call them toll-free at 866-779-5835.

For disassembly info, you can see the service manual at our site:
http://www.microwavedisplay.com/lmvm2075sb_sw_sm.pdf

It does not contain part numbers, so you will need to contact Encompass.

Direct spraying of cleaners on the keypad and steam from the cooktop can damage the controls.

I always recommend that you spray non-ammonia cleaner on a soft cloth (not a paper towel which can scratch) and gently wipe the keypad.

And I always recommend that you use the vent fan whenever you're cooking on the stove top to keep heat, steam, and grease out of the controls and door panels.

My microwave panel is not working.

Sometimes if the door switches are faulty then the touch panel may not respond. There are usually 3 switches, and I'd recommend if one if faulty replacing all of them as a set. Otherwise it may be a Control Panel fault.

LG LMVM2055SB over the range microwave keys not working

Is it possible someone may have sprayed cleaner directly onto the keypad area?

This causes moisture to get into the keypad and sometimes onto the control board.

This could mean that they control panel frame with keypad (membrane switch) would need to be replaced.

Can you give more details on the cleaning?
