Matricom Prism Tablet Freezes-Android JellyBean, 7" Capactive touch screen(in freeze mode, currently) when turned on and I cannot use it. Is there any way to reset it? The manufacturer has no manual and I bought it on EBay and seller will not reply! Happened right after my 90-day warranty expired! LindaSView

Many of those cheapy pads can't be updated because they are hardware encoded for the o/s version they originally came with.

Make sure the tablet has been turned off first by holding down the power button until you get the power off dialog box and choose power off. Then hold down the volume button and while continuing to hold the volume button, hold down the power button until you get a message like 'booting into recovery mode' or a dialog box that allows you to go into recovery mode and do a factory reset. Plug the device into the usb cable and wait a few seconds. Both the computer and the tablet should beg for input. Tell the tablet to work as "mass storage" first. Windows 7 should find it.
