When scanning with HP Solution Center, you can scan a
photo or a document, but HP Solution Center does not save the scan to
your designated folder. The Scan button on the
product's control panel might not operate correctly. This issue occurs
in Windows 7, or when using a version 13 print driver in Windows XP or
Vista.
Solution
HP has created a patch to update your driver and resolve the issue.
Choose one of the following options to download the patch to the computer.
If you want to install the patch on the computer immediately, click Run .
NOTE:
Click Run again if the computer displays a Security Warning message.
If you want to install the patch at a later time, click Save , select a destination on the computer for the file to save, and then click Save . When the download is complete, click the downloaded file.
Follow the on-screen instructions to install the patch.
Cause
When installing or upgrading to HP Solution Center version 13, files do not install correctly.
Operating System Drivers, Updates & Patches
Here are some driver files that you may click to download for free. Some of the links may have a problem for direct download. If you encounter any problem, please check out the following sites for more device drivers.
I Assume you have got Realtek Audio Driver.. First you have to Install Microsoft High Defnition Audio Patch (MSHDQFE) i.e., "kb888111xpsp2.exe" and this patch can be obtained by googling or downloading from Microsoft Site.. After this installation.. re-install your audio driver.. it will works.. sometimes virus may not allow to playback and disables your audio driver.. for this you re-start your computer in "Directory Services Restore Mode" and check whether sound is working or not..
I had this issue as well. Download the patch directly from the website, and run it locally. Afterwards the updater won't find a newer patch, and goes directly to the game. I don't know whether this will break again once a new patch is released, but you should be able to manually install it again at that time. Patches can be found at http://www.ubi.com/US/default.aspx under support --> patches.
