Laptop screen too dark when used with battery

Check if the sensor of the ambient light in the room is dirty (bottom of TV). If so, the TV thinks its playing in a dark room and so sets the screen to dim.

If that doesn't improve things, turn a flashlight on the sensor to fool it into thinking its a brighter room.

It is there. Designed to have a brighter picture during the day and dim it in the evening. Have different names for the feature.

Check your manual out for it.

Your LCD screen is dying. The backlights can go over time. Other then try to replace the screen there is not much you can do. You can always run it off an external monitor if you are like most people and use it a desk most of the time anyhow.

check power option settings under control panel

It will because when you unplug the Power cable, it will automatically switch battery mode. When in battery mode it also activates a kind of Power saving mode by default. Thats why it seems dark. Now if still want to brightness then remove adjust the brightness level while the laptop is on Battery Mode but i must tell you, your battery backup won't last too long.

If its running on batteries the screen brightness will dim quite a bit. If on AC adapter it should be full brightness, but this is adjustable in either case. With the computer up and running, press and hold down the Fn key and push the up arrow to make it brighter and the down arrow to make it dimer.

You can use the function keys to increase the brightness. Also if you go to Start, Control Panel, Power Options you can change the settings to give you more monitor time.

her i think your problem is on operating system(OS) lavel and u need to recover yr os with recover dvd or recover disk whitch provide with yr laptop and if you need to reset factory setting you have to go on bios setup screen
1 start laptop
2 press F10 button
3 then go to last screen ad find " setup defullt opetimeze"
4 then got to save and exti button

Try to diagnose the problem first...

1. Turn it On your Laptop
2. If you have CRT Monitor? connect it to your Laptop if they have screen appears.
3. If they have display your LCD have a problem.
