Click on start>run>cmd. Then type in ipconfig /all. That will give you the IP address to your gateway and any other address you need.

Connetion error 80130128

1. on pc, run -> cmd
2. ipconfig
3. Read the "gateway" ip. Put that into browser to go to router's admin page
4. Find the DHCP settings for router to see what range of IPs it hands out; pick one outside that range
5. Set up the ps3 with that IP, the router IP as primary dns, and an opendns server as secondary This made the connection test happy. But when he tried to go to the playstation store, it gave a DNS error. If he repeated the connection test again, it failed too. "Well," I told him, "It's supposed to try both DNS servers. But we can try setting the primary DNS server to opendns as well." Once he did that, everything worked. (In case you don't know, Run is on the Start menu, usually on the right-hand panel.)If you try that, it might well be possible that your problem is solved. If this doesn't work for you, please call our Network Call Center

Hey im tring to connect to xbox live through hughes net but i need my primary dns server and my secondary dns server and some other stuff and i was wondering if u could help me please

I'm not sure why you would need that. If your connecting your xbox through a router, it should get an address automatically, however you can always try some free public dns servers, such as googles

The Google Public DNS IP addresses are as follows:
  • 8.8.8.8
  • 8.8.4.4

New Xbox Experience Dashboard:
  1. From the Xbox 360 Dashboard, select System Settings in the My Xbox area.
  2. Select Network Settings.
  3. Select Configure Network.

After you select either Configure Network or Edit Settings, you will be on the Basic Settings tab, which contains your IP and DNS settings. When you select the IP Settings block, you are prompted to select an Automatic or Manual configuration. If you select Automatic, the Xbox 360 console will try to automatically determine your IP settings from your network or from your modem or Internet service provider (ISP). This option is recommended for most users.

You may have to or prefer to manually configure the IP settings, especially when a static IP address is used. This is necessary only if your ISP has issued a static IP address, or if you have configured the router to issue static IPs (and DHCP is not used). To manually configure the settings, select Manual, and then enter the IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway by using the keyboard on the screen. When the information is complete, select Done.
