Put someone in the drivers seat to slowly push the pedal,
as you open & close the bleeder valves

Either live with it or replace it. The hinge is not serviceable and the soft close action does not last forever. They rarely last more than five years, maximum.

check your warranty period
if it for longer than 12 months , the warranty service is free regardless
they may want the deposit in case the problem is not warranty related and would be obliged to refund it if the fault was covered by the warranty

thats not normal, clean screen and try a soft rubber tip pencil to type, as the 1300 is less than 12 months olds claim replacement from the seller

Try removing the shower screen to see if it is covered in coffee oils, if it is then hold it over an open flame to burn out the coffee, then backwash the machine with espresso machine soap.

You might try gently cleaning the laser eye with soft dry Q-tip. Other wise the laser will probably need replacing. I repair and sell portable DVD players.

if you can try to clean very softly the lens with a small peace of cotton
 this may be very difficult , if  you can you have to open the case ,
(unplug the combo) try to open the dvd part , reach the lens and using a little cotton cleaning softly the little ' eye ' you can sense that it moves , close everithing, try to read a dvd o cd
