You will have to remove all the screws on back of TV Front Bottom panel first then you will have more screws that hold Top on in back and under front screen its not as bad as it sounds it just takes awhile to do while your in their clean your mirror and all 3 top lenses to Tubes.
Your TV is overheating.. easiest remedy is to point a fan at the back of the TV or... clean the inside of the TV, Im sure its full of dust and stuff... this prevents air circulation inside the TV thus creating more heat...
OK
Take the screws out of the BACK top panal of tv! be gentle the mirror is connected to this back!.... now after removeing back you will see the inside of screen and the three lenses and on back panel the mirror! clean all three of these and you will see a big change for the better..Then just replace back! thank you!
all you have to do is, take the 12 screws out from around the screen, from the back, there are also like 4 of them on the front, but usually , you can just lean the screen out far enough to use a swifer sweeper in there, and the dust isnt going to be on the back of the screen, it will be on the projecter, do the screen while the tv is on, then you will realy see the dust on the projecter
You need to pull the top back off be very carefull that you do not break mirror clean mirror and all 3 tube lenses this should make a diffenrents in picture.
cleaning was not only the one needed but maintence as well! some of the components might be getting disconnected inside! send it to a service center... it won't cost you much since is it still working!
CRT Rear-Projection - Before
you can begin cleaning, you need to determine if you do, or do not have
a screen shield. A screen shield is a hard plastic cover over the front
of the TV screen. If you can't tell, give the front of the TV a light
tap. Another way to tell is to check for ridges in the screen area. If
you can feel ridges on the screen, then you do not have a screen
shield. Rear projection TVs without a screen shield require a special
kind of cleaner and rag. These are available for purchase at your local
TV service center. Those that do have a screen shield should be cleaned
with a dry or damp soft cloth. If it's extremely dirty, a mild soap may
be used. Do not use paper products, such as paper towels, to clean the
screen shield. Paper products can easily scratch the surface of the
shield. Screen shields can have a tendency to streak while cleaning. If
this happens, use a dry cloth and buff the screen in a small circular
motions.
Philips has Projection tv, screen cleaning fluid and a soft brush also to clean your set. You can buy this in most stores like Walmart or online. And remember that your screen have grooves in it so follow the patterns. I think most goes up and down. Hope this helps!
