Chamberlain 1/2HP garage door opener making noise but not opening

One of our Garage door is not opening. When we use the wall mounted switch or the remote the motor makes some grinding noise but no movement of the chain / door at all. This problem started last evening when it was working partially with lots of additional noise..but then since this morning it just makes the noise.

Any advise / support is much appreciated.

The light by the learn button may be sending a diagnostic code. See if it is flashing a number of times, pausing and then repeating. Count the flashes. Is your door stuck in the open posititon?

Make sure the light in the wall control is not blinking. If it is press and hold the lock button for 3 seconds.

Liftmaster 1/3hp garage door opener
When i try opening the garage door from the wall button the door only opens 3 inches or so, then stop but makes several loud clicking noises. I've played around with the travel limits as well as the open force switch but the same thing keeps happening. Any suggestions?

Sear garage door wall mount contol light keeps blinking
Hold the button with the lock icon in for 3 seconds. This should toggle the unit off vacation mode and your remotes will work.

Garage wall mount
This might be a easy fix but not sure two thigns I would try is check to make sure you don't have a lock switch on your wall control and if you do make sure its off. That locks out the remotes but oddly they go bad and sometimes just do really odd things. The other thing is check the wire to the wall control make sure theres no cuts or staples in it

Garage Door opener will not opern
2 flashes indicate safety eye issue. Check you wiring and make sure it is wired correctly and check to make sure the eyes are properly aligned.
