I have a Zenith P-IV PC with Windows XP Media Center 2005 & 19'' CRT Monitor which is around 3years old. Recently my monitor started displaying only a thin bright horizontal line in the center of the monitor. Initially if I banged the monitor lightly, the display would become normal. But now nothing helps. I checked the connections of all the cables, they are fine. I removed & reconnected them, but with no positive result. The PC seems to work fine, as the color of the line changes as per the change in display on the screen. My current wallpaper is green colored, so it displays a green line. As soon as the screensaver starts it displays the color of screen saver. Is my monitor repairable or is it dead. Please Help Me.

Vertical IC loose connection. Best is to reflux it or resolder. It is in internal circuitry inside the monitor commonly an upside single line IC.
And its a minor repair only. But I recommend it to be serviced by a qualified technician. Inside it are plenty of nasty voltages. It might caught you.

Hello, this is vertical IC loose connection. The vertical output components either a transistor or an IC is probaly got a bad solder joint. Also another possibility is the deflection pins. Buy soldering iron and solder from electronic work to repair the connections.Take the back off of it after it is unlpugged and disconnected from the computer and check the bottom of the circuit board for bad solder joints.I recommend you to be serviced by a technician.
hey bro.
you try to re solder the vertical section and the color section.
