your power supply is shorted; remove it from the set and, have a TV shop repair it if you are unable to do the repair yourself.
any good shop can do the repair easily and, much cheaper than the manufacturer you can find the power supply by looking to where the power cord enters a circuitboard that will be the power supply
Sounds like the green CRT has a short.If you unplug the socket from the green CRT tube (the one in the middle) and power up the TV and it stays on then it will verify that you need a new green CRT.
what it's doing is sensing an overload of voltage this is an internal circuit problem. you can either have it repaired by an audio tech or replace it with a new one if the cost of repair is more than what the deck is worth. please rate this.. thanks
or a new lamp. you could first replace the lamp. the screen might work fine for a couple of seconds, but then it fades away or deteriorates. This means the lamp is going bad.
