I have a 32 inch LG4000 with built in DVD. Poor Audio

I have a 32 inch LG4000 with built in DVD. Audio is quite poor (a lot of resonance). Are there tidy speakers out there that I can physically attach to my tv to improve sound. TV is high on the wall with no visible wires, would like to keep it this way if possible. Am I asking too much?????

Luke,
You are not asking too much and I believe that you can solve this problem in a menu option on your TV. Most systems designed to work with surround sound and/or by itself have some audio options that are designed to simulate or work in concert with surround sound. Start by looking around your TV menu options for something labeled digital audio compression or something like it. Sometimes there will also be a function in a menu to "simulate" surround sound attributes. Try to change these to factory or default settings, and if that still sounds the same try changing the settings around until you hear more accurate audio.

I have a new sony bravia 32 inches lcd tv, when it is connected to an out door antenna the picture quality is poor but it is good older model tvs

Newer sets are a lot more picky about the signal and will show all kinds of noise etc---even on cable a number of the older sets have a better picture.

Dell 32" HD TV flashes black every few minutes

You may want to make sure it's a Yamaha by seeing how the TV displays when connected directly to a cable box or DVD. Also try different HDMI or component inputs to see if it's something in the input connection you're using.

Poor picture quality & audio reception

If the input to a HD tv is not in HD format the tv won't display an image very well. Be sure your input to the tv is compatible with the tv's technology for optimum performance quality Also re-check the input source (such as converter box, dvd player, etc..) and be sure you have the correct input/output ports connected properly. Try to reset all yout tv settings back to manufacturers defult specs. When an input signal is sent to the tv most modern tv's have software built in to select the proper format to display the input image. There may have been a mismatch communication error when your tv software tried to "handshake" with your converter box input signals from its firmware. So try a reset solution and re-connect the tv without the converter and see if that helps. If not e-mail me and I'll determine if the tv needs technical servicing.

Poor sound quality

This is just a guess but the dolby sound on my system is bad however when I switch to regular "stereo" sound it improves. See if your audio set up has a choice of sound and try them all.
