Make sure the DVD player is level, and that there is nothing stuck inside. You might have to GENTLY nudge the door, with a careful prying motion. If it still won't eject, and you feel daring, you can open the device with the POWER OFF, (Don't lose screws), and see if it there is an obstruction. This last option will most probably void the warranty, so only do this if you are comfortable.

Dvd will not eject

Jammed.
Straighten one end of a Norwegian paper-clip.
Insert that end into the small hole in the face-plate.
Push until you feel resistance.
Firmly push another 5mm to "unlock" it.
Then, press OPEN.

My dvd does not play in laptop due to digital copyright problem. what can i do to fix this? no dvd wil play

Copy-protected DVDs prohibit people from copying them, which is piracy. Copying a DVD to sell or even to give away is illegal. You can play copy-protected DVDs in a standalone DVD player or in your computer's DVD drive, as long as your computer's software is up to date. These DVDs will play the same as DVDs that are not copy protected

Press the "Eject" button on your DVD player to open the DVD tray. Set the DVD into the tray, and push the "Eject" button to close the tray. Press the "Play" button on your DVD player, and the DVD will play. b> On a DVD Drive on a Computer Press the "Eject" button on your DVD drive to eject the DVD tray. Set the DVD into the DVD drive, and push the tray in to close it. Click the "Start" tab on your computer's home screen to open the "Start" menu. Click on "My Computer" to open it. Click on the DVD drive to open the DVD. Click on "Autoplay" to play the DVD.

My dvd player is stuck on one dvd and wont let me eject, change disc, or even stop the current dvd. display reads "locked" whenever i press any buttons. can only turn on and off the device.

Hi, For some reason the disk will not play. You push the eject button over and over again, but the disk slot will not open. Here's one solution...
* 1 Turn off the DVD player. Wait a few minutes, turn the DVD player back on, and
then press the "eject" button. If this does not work, turn it off and unplug
the DVD player...while you keep pushing EJECT button plug the DVD and turn it on (your hand still on the eject..) is should come out..
* 2 ..if it does not eject , unplug the DVD player again, Remove the screws off DVD on the sides and take off the DVD casing.
* 3 Look for the DVD holder inside the DVD player. This device holds the DVD in
place while the DVD player reads the disk.
* 4 Push the stuck DVD disk toward the front of the DVD player until the DVD
ejects. Remember the DVD player is not on and some force ( gentle ! ) must be applied.
* 5 While it is open, plug it on and place a DVD disc just to see if mechanism works properly..
* 6 Replace the casing and the screws. Plug the player in and turn it on. Put
another DVD in to test whether the player is finally working ..
Hope this helps!..
Take care and please

Dvd player will not eject or play dvd. It just keeps spinning and says "reading." I've tried unplugging for 2 minutes, pushing close/open and stop at the same time(hold for at least 3 seconds)....

Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet and turn the player ON. Attempt to open the disc tray. Depending on the model number of your DVD player, simultaneously press the POWER + STOP + EJECT buttons. If the disc tray still does not open, simultaneously press the DISC1 + STOP + EJECT buttons.6 Jan 2013

There is a DVD in the player that wont eject or play.

Instead of a pinhole, there is a slot on the bottom of the DVD player that will force the disc out. There's a plastic lever visible on one side of the slot. I used a butter knife to push into the slot.

Built in dvd player will not let me insert dvd

The LCD/DVD may need a reset. Unplug the unit for 10 sec then plug back in. Instead of power button, push eject button. The blue DVD screen should appear. This worked on my unit which I had for only 2 months. If not call customer service.
