80 Scheduled Maintenance Message
The 80 Scheduled Maintenance error appears when you first power on the printer. The printer will still work even though it is in a maintenance condition. To clear the message temporarily and continue using the printer, simply press the Go button on the printer's screen. (For details on scheduled maintenance procedures, refer to the User's Guide for your printer.)
This message appears when the printer maintenance counter determines that maintenance is due. For a list of the part numbers of maintenance kits for most of the printers that require them, click here.
Note: The printer will still operate even if you do not have the kit replaced, but you may experience some print quality problems.
You are required to purchase the maintenance kit and have it replaced even if the printer is still under warranty. Some maintenance kits can be installed without the assistance of a technician. However, some warranties cover on-site installation of the maintenance kit by a technician AFTER you have purchased the kit. For more information on the warranty terms for the maintenance kit, click here.
