SOURCE: I have a craftsmen 18 volt drill. Will it be hurt if I use a 19.

You should never provide more voltage to a tool or motor than what it is designed for. So, as a result, I would advise strongly against it. You have the chance of frying circuits and capacitors very easily by doing so.

On the flip side, using too low a voltage will also result in motor damage. Stick with an 18v battery for an 18v drill.

SOURCE: I have an 18 volt

No. It will probably charge but you will significantly reduce the life of your battery.

I was drilling into wood with a 1" spade type bit

Generally, if you remove the battery and leave it in the charger over night, the internal breakers should reset. If not return it to Sears for a replacement. (The drill)

The drill has stopped charging up. No obvious

It may be the charger, but most likely the battery can no longer hold a charge. This may happen if the battery drops below its holding charge. Example, left discharge for a couple months. There is little that can go wrong with a charger unless you start smelling burnt plastic from it.

Where can i purchase a charger for these unts other than Sears

Unless you find one on e-bay or craigs list you are out of luck, Craftsman is only sold at Sears and a few K-Mart stores.

Charger not charging have 2 new chargers neither 1 will work for black& decker 18 volt cordless

You should probably contact Customer Service regarding this. I'd say it's a problem with the batteries rather than the chargers considering this looks like a recent EPC model - 1800 444 224
