My embroidery unit does not recognize my hoop size. I am using the 240 x 150 and I have the size selector set to the size. When I try to start my project the screen says to attach correct hoop size. I remove the hoop and replace it and I get the same message. Every now and then it will give in and acknowledge, but most often it does not. I tried turning the machine off and on again and this did not work. I remove the arm and replaced it and this does not work. The only way for me to use the 240 x 150 is to select the 360 x 150 and then I am told to switch positions which I cannot do. What is going on? Help please.

The first thing to check is the software version on your machine. Later versions are far better at recognizing the proper hoop than the earlier versions. The current version is 2.24 . Check this by looking at the bottom, right corner of the welcome screen when the machine is first turned on. The numbers in that corner are your software version.
If you are in the 2's, then adding the latest probably won't change this problem. Make sure that when the hoop is slid into position you do not go beyond the proper position. The release button on the hoop holder should drop down fully. If it is slightly raised, pull the hoop back toward you, without holding down on the button and see if it clicks down farther. If so, I recommend that you press the button just when you start the hoop onto the machine, then release it and as the hoop slides back it will click into the hole. Wiggle the hoop a little and the button should seat fully and then the machine should recognize it. If it still does not recognize the hoop, you may need professional attention.

Thanks so much for your advice. Had the same problem with the endless hoop on the performance pfaff.Be sure the hoop clicks unto the hole . It works by a sensor in the embroidery unit, and if the hoop does not click on the hole in the embroidery unit you will have the same error. Wiggle it a little bit until both the hoop and the embroidery unit are in contact within the little hole on the hoop. I did it and it worked. Thanks......

Need help, I keep getting error c 12 hoop size is smaller than embroidery data, I have the right size hoop on for the embroidery design I' using.

Perhaps the machine is not recognizing the hoop you have installed. Could be a computer component or software glitch or something wrong with the hoop itself.

You might try contacting a local machine dealer for support or contact the online manufacturer support.

What is the symptom of a broken hoop?

Sounds like you might be having problems with the machine not wanting to start sewing an embroidery pattern or not recognizing the hoop size. If the former, and the embroidery is full size (say 100x100mm), try reducing the embroidery slightly (say 98x98mm). If the latter, your embroidery unit may need slight adjustment to correctly identify the hoop. Its not an elaborate adjustment but you will probably need a profession to accomplish it.

Embroidery

When you are editing the design make sure you are actually doing it in the hoop size that you want. It may be that the design has been done in a larger hoop although it does not really require it. I can change the hoop size on my machine. Good Luck!

My Husqvarna designer SE embroidery unit keeps giving an error message "install hoop correctly". I've checked everything but can't get around the message. can anybody help ,?

You have probably got the machine set to use a different size hoop. Click on the hoop icon and change it to the size you are using. Hope this helps you.

Brother PE770 Hoop size programming stuck on small hoop option

Your machine would be able to perform 5 X 8 embroideries. The hoop size on this machine is recognized by the machine itself, depending of the embroidery file size. So it the embroidery is small, it will indicate that the small hoop is needed.

But U can use the large hoop, position the embroidery where U want then perform another embroidery on the sams hoop.

TRICK : the embroidery size exceeds the hoop? reduce it in X and or Y using this function on the machine

I have the quilters 150x150 hoop and I need an update to use it, the button on my embroidery machine is grey I think it needs to be dark blue

Dark grey, actually, but you don't need the upgrade. Set the hoop size at the machine for the 150 x 240 hoop and the 150 x 150 hoop will work. Just be sure that the design starts in the centre i.e. don't move it up or down at the machine Embroidery screen. Before you begin sewing, check that the design will fit in the hoop without bumping the sides of the hoop. Use the Check Size button which is on the second screen of the Embroidery Screen (touch More on bottom right of first screen). The Check Size button is the one on the bottom right - the first button to the left of "More". Touch it once, hoop moves to top left of design; touch again hoop moves to bottom left of design; again hoop moves to bottom right; again hoop moves to top right.

Make yourself a note so that when you next take your D1 in for its regular service, get the hoop upgrade done at the same time. You need to have at least version 2.1 of the machine software installed - your tech. can do this for you too. It is a really minor adjustment so should not add much to the service cost. Be sure to take the embroidery unit in too when you go for the service.

Husqvarna Des 1.. won't recognize hoops

The embroidery unit needs to be calibrated. Can only been done by a trained dealer. you can relax, it is not a major issue and shuold not cost you a arm and a leg. Ask the dealer to also calibrate your touch screen and download the working hours on your machine.
