'Connection problem or invalid MMI code' indicates problem with the network (i.e poor signal) or wrong MMI code have being entered by the user. Otherwise, if user is trying to recharge through the mobile which has two active sim connections. Then, there is a chance for this error.
This may be more related to your service provider than your phone. Please contact your provider (e.g Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, etc) for answers to this issue.
I had similar issue for Vega R3, for checking my phone balance *122# and came out " Connection problem or invalid MMI code ".any idea to solve ? thanks!
