Hi, we have found that differant makes & grades of oil used in engines can make...

Believe it or not, it is normal for these engines to use about a quart every 2000 even when they are essentially new. Note that I said, "use", not "burn". The combination of higher compression and operating temperatures causes oil to pass through the engine. You might notice your tail pipes have a good coating on the inside. I managed to slow the process by converting to Mobil 1 0W40. I get much better performance and I only use a quart every 3500-4000.

Why does the bar oiler leak so much oil

Hi Stan:
Don't know where you are, but in this corner of Canada you can get summer grade, or winter grade bar oil. The summer grade is quite a lot thicker consistency.
If you're using ordinary oil like 10-30 it will definitely run through much faster.

Hi. What type of oil do I use on my Ford Econovan y.2000. The engine is FE2000

You can use a 10w-40 grade premium oil or synthetic blend oil
.....OR.....
a fully synthetic in 5w-30 grade which is better but more expensive.

When selecting the oils in either grade make sure the one you choose is approved for Ford vehicles by checking the label details. Oil companies manufacture 2 or 3 different formulations of oils in the same grades and the label (usually the back label on the pack) will indicate that the oil is formulated for the engines of specific car manufacturers.

What grade oil I use on my 2475f12.5g

You need compressor oil which does not have detergents. Don't use thin motor oil it may lessen the life of the compressor. I don't think a grade is generally specified although its around a 20 grade
here are some examples Compressor Oil

What grade oil do I use to change out on my Chicago Pneumatic RPC-561VNS? The manual says a compressor grade non-deturgent oil should be used, but does no specify a grade.

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.

Compressor grade oils are basically SAE30 W oil. Read this:

Rol-Air OILCOMP30W34C Air Compressor Pump Oil - 30W Quart features ,
Specially engineered and tested to match the requirements of Rol-Air air
compressors , Provides superior rust and corrosion protection.

I.e SAE 30W oil / the same thing you would use in an older lawn mower engine or generator.

What they don't tell you is because they have re-labeled the 30W oil to OILCOMP30W they can charge you big time for SAE 30W oil. The only difference is the label.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly
