How to use usb to rca cable - Driver

Do you have a USB cable that goes from the monitor to the PC? Have you tried plugging the external drive into the PC directly? A TV for a monitor is just that; a monitor. It's not a PC, the USB port on a monitor is just a pass through to the PC. So unless you have a USB cable from the monitor to the PC it won't "see" it.

The USB ports on the monitor will work only if you connect the monitor via a USB cable to your PC/Laptop's USB port. Sounds awkward. Doesn't it? There must be a USB cable with flat socket on one end and trapezium shape jack on one end. It should be in the box which the monitor came in. The USB ports in the monitor are just another extended USB ports for your PC/Laptop. If you can't find the cable mentioned above, it is the same cable you connect to a printer, scanner,........ In some cases you might need to install a driver which should also come along with monitor. Mostly you don't need to install.

there are a few options, firstly if your tv accepts a monitor cable vga hd cable, then you can connect directly, if not you can go through a ps3 or xbox 360 or even a dvd player with a usb.....load the film onto the usb and play from the dvd player /xbox/ps3

be sure that you connect usb cable between pc usb port and monitor usb port and try its usb

Try going to ACER's website and looking for an updated video driver for this machine. The factory video driver doesn't always support video cloning.

Did it come with Windows Media Center?
You will need a TV Tuner to watch TV. There are internal cards or USB types.

Hi i have only connected my laptop to the tv a few times. i did it through a scart lead connecting to the s-video-out socket on my laptop. then i when to display propertise , settings then selected screen 2, then extened to desktop monitor. it worked. i then opened a film in my player, dragged it accross, went full screen job done. hope this helps...

What you would need is a VGA to RCA converter cable. Something like this. Once hooked up, use your Fn key combination to switch the view from the internal monitor on the laptop to the external monitor, now your TV.
