Turn tv on, green light blinck 5 tines tv turns on for a minute and a half tv scree go black,green light blincks 35 times tv comes on for another minute and a half screen go black green light blinks 35 times tv comes on, and it keeps reapeating. on and on.

COUNT THE # AND SEQUENCE OF THE BLINKING...CONTACT SONY TECH SUPPORT

Try inserting a tail pipe probe and check the reading again.

Do the self check----if set has been unplugged plug it in and turn on for it to fail----when it shuts off ON THE FRONT OF THE SET press and hold both the menu and input (device) buttons at same time for at least 5 seconds and release both.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like, 1 blink, 2 blinks and pause and repeat it for a total of 5 times.

What if any error code do you find?

If all else fails, reset your bios.

hello, the blinks indicate a fualty board or circut if you can find a service manual for your set, you can count the blinks and identify the trouble,
these circuts are working with extreme high heat so they do go bad eventually, so find a service manual and then change the part as indicated in the service manual or have a service tech service it for you that will be a bit more expensive than finding the part and exchanging it yourself but remeber to follow electronic safety procedures as these circuts store high voltages and can be very dangerous,, generally using a service manual will help you pin point the trouble .. hope this helps
