I have a weber genesis and i have a burner problem. When i light it, the first and second burners will light but the 3rd will not right away. When the 3rd does light, the flame is really low until i turn off either of the other burners in which the 3rd burner will burn like it normally would. I also removed the flavorizer bars and grate and lit the grill and all 3 burners worked normally. I have no idea what is happening. Can anyone assist?

SOURCE: Weber Grill, Genesis Silver A Burner Replacement Instructions

Thanks for your inquiry. In checking around, new parts will cost me $45- $50, plus your fees for instructions and several hours of my time. I checked prices at Home Depot today and have decided just to buy a new grill and enjoy it without all the mess.

SOURCE: low flame on burner...

Remove the burner and check the flexible tubes for kinks or blockages. The flexible tubes usually just slip over the backs of the valves. Spiders love to get in there and block them. Also check that the holes in the burners are not clogged. Be careful when reseating the flexible tubes to be sure that they are properly seated on the back of the valves. Failure to properly seat the flexible tubes can cause leakage there, and the gas can ignite at the back of the valves and not reach the burner. Be certain that the replacement burner is designed to use with your grill and the flexible tubes mate properly with the back of the valves.

SOURCE: weber grill three burner. New tank of propane but

The new style2_bing.gif OPD valves have a small brass ring located in the female fitting on the LP tank. Over time this ring can work loose and then it does not allow the male fitting to fully depress the OPD valve thus reducing your gas flow
Using a small flat bladed screw driver tighten the small brass ring This should solve your problem
IF not you might want to remove the cap (white) on your regulator and try slowly adjusting the regulator, make small adjustments and try the BBQ My Weber if I set the front and back burners to MED I get right at 350 degrees in 60 degree outdoor temps. Adjusting the regulator will take some time to get it right but If it is not your tank it is most likely your regulator out of adjustment

My weber genesis E 330 thermometer never goes higher than 400 degrees F Why?

Turn off propane. Disconnect propane tank from barbecue. Open burner valves for about 20 seconds. Close valves. Reattach propane tank. Slowly open propane tank valve. Turn on burner and ignite

My Weber Genesis Silver only lights on the first burner. The second and third burner are not lighting.

Close the propane tank valve and disconnect the hose/regulator from the tank. Reconnect the propane tank and very slowly open the tank valve. You may have opened the valve too fast causing the built-in excess flow to close to a trickle. If you still have issues, let me know and I'll dig deeper. Douglas

Grill won't heat up above 200 DEGREES with a nearly full tank

Try replacing the regulator and hose, not very expensive and fairly easy to do. If that doesn't help, let me know.

How do I take my Weber Genesis grill apart to clean the burners? The burners are not heating up properly. The flame is very poor and not hot enough to cook food.

Turn on just one burner, once it is lit, turn on a second burner, if the flame gets lower or goes out, you probably need a new regulator.

Second burner will not light

I don['t know the answer but I have the identical problem. 1st & 3rd burner lights but little if any gas getting to second burner. Might be blockage. How do you disassemble burners to clean?

Ist burner will light, 2nd burner lights only after delay.

You don't say how old it is - could it be that the jet is corroded? They are only a few bucks to replace and are really the only part in your grill that controls how ignition happens.

Burner won't light

Clean everything up with a wire brush. The tiniest bit of debris in the ignitor area will prevent a spark.
