If you don't remember your settings, you will have to reset your router to factory default. To do a Hard Reset do this:
While the modem router is powered on, press and hold the reset button on the rear panel (next to the on/off switch) with a pin for 10s, and then release the reset button.
Wait for 2 minutes, try to login to the device (http://192.168.1.1) again by the default username and password (admin/admin);
If you don't have the user guide, you can get it here. This is also the place where you can find firmware updates and advanced troubleshooting information (it's called "V2 - Installation Guide" ...don't ask me why)

Since this is an ADSL modem, make sure you have the information provided by your ISP: Username, Password, VPI, VCI and Connection Type or you will not be able to connect to the internet.

On the back of your router is a 'reset' button. Use a toothpick or a pen to press it for approximately 5 seconds. Once this is done you can log in with the default user and password.

  • Open your web browser
  • Browse to 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1
  • The default username is: (blank)
  • The default password is: admin
Only type in the password, and don't enter anything in the username field. In case this doesn't work try the following credentials:

  • Default username: admin
  • Default password: admin

I forget passward and user name user name : admin password : hsparouter but not access it give me 401 Unauthorized
The easiest way to recover entry to your router is to hard reset the router by using the tip of a pen and pushing it into the reset button on the router for at least 15 seconds. The router should then reset to defaults, which includes the user name and password.
The default user name and password should be listed somewhere on the router. If it isn't, then search online with your router's model number to find the default user name and password and default IP address. For example:
IP Address: 192.168.1.1
Username: admin
password: password

Your router may be different but it should be somewhat similar to my example.

log in to the router from a web browser by typing its IP address into the browsers address bar (default IP address should be 192.168.1.1) this will prompt you for a username and password (default usernames may be admin, user, or no user name i.e. blank, default passwords may be admin or password) once logged in you can change the routers password from the 'security' tab.

Hi do you mean log in to change routers settings or connect to the network which is broadcast by router. If you mean first log in to router settings etc. If your old password don't work you should find a reset button somewhere on router if you press it it will take router to default settings and you can use default user name and password to log in. If you mean connecting to the network you should go to the settings of your router connect to the router by network cable and put 198.162.1.1 in your internet browser put your username and password (which you can find in manual or on internet (just google "D-Link DI-624M Router default username password) and check what password is and change if you like. Need password to internet
You can't.

What you can do is reset the entire router. There should be a button on the back you can press in with a paper clip, hold it down for a few seconds, lights should flash.

Your router will then be reset to factory defaults. Without any more information I can not tell you how to find the default user/pass to log in.

there's quite serious security problem with this routers (not sure if it applies to exactly this type) 

if your password if not the default you should try other account:
(username / password)
admin / admin
support / support 
user / user 

if you are logged in as a "user" you can't change anything but you can access change password page e.g.

http://192.168.1.1/password.html

then open source code of this page and inside javascript code you will find your password in plain text
