The brush is not turning on the dirt devil power max and not sucking up any dirt.

The belt is probably broken or off the pulley. These will build up hair and rug fiber around d the moving parts and force the belt off. I don't know the exact access on this model but a cover will need to be removed. Some models require Phillips screw removal of complete upper or lower cover. Be sure to clean out all debris and re install or replace belt with new.

No dirt in cup and the red thing does not turn

Hello! It sounds like your vacuum has lost suction. This is caused by either a clog or a filter that needs to be cleaned or replaced. Please try these brief trouble-shooting steps.

1. Remove the dirt cup. Twist off the dirt cup lid.
2. Remove the filter cartridge from dirt cup.
3. Separate the foam and cartridge filters. Wash foam filter under running. Allow 24 hours to air dry outside the vacuum.
4. Tap the excess dirt out of Hepa filter. Hepa filter may also be washed. Allow 24 hours to air dry.
5. Check the secondary filter by removing the filter cover from base. Rinse the foam filter under running water until it runs clear. Allow 24 hours to air dry.
6. The red baffle tube inside of the dirt cup is apart of the filtration of the vacuum and needs to be cleaned as well. Twist out the baffle tube by turning 1/4 turn clockwise. Remove any hair or debris wrapped around baffle tube. Baffle tube can be rinsed if needed. Allow to dry thoroughly.
7. Remove the hose from both ends. Use a broom stick to loosen and remove any clogs from the main hose.
8. Remove the bottom plate and the brushes as instructed in the owner's manual. Use a wooden spoon or something similar to gently break up and remove any clogs from the lower hose.

If the filters are too dirty they may need to be replaced. With regular maintenance the filters should be replaced about once a year. Follow the links below to order replacement filters for your UH20020.

The brush on my hayden 6000 supervac is not rotating when power is on and i can't figure out how to open the vac to get to the belt. help please

First you will want to remove the light cover. this can be done by pusing as you look at the front of the powerbrush on both the left and right side of the head.
There you will find the lightbulb and 2 screws to remove. Remove both of the screws and turn over to pry with a screwdriver at both the sides of the powerbrush to remove the top cover.

Once you have the lens cover off you will also see in the plastic the belt change instructions.

When you want to put the top cover back on, it will act much like a hinge, hook it on to the front of the head where the brush is, and snap it back into place at the back.

Cleaner wont release or **** up water off the floor

There are a few different problems this could be. Usually when someone says it won't extract water off the floor it is because it is not squirting any water. If it is not doing either then you have more than one problem. You can try to pour some water from a cup onto the floor to see if it is extracting water from the carpet. water not squirting could be clogged jets. Look underneath at the red jets and make sure they're not covered with hair or dirt. You can remove and clean them. It could be the pump is not working properly. On some Bissel units the pump has a cogged belt that turns the brushroll. If sometihing gets caught in the brushroll it can strip the teeth off of the pulley on the end of the pump which means you have to buy a whole new pump. Another problem I occasionally see on this unit is the pump gets full of soap suds and will not pump water. Sometimes I can get it working agian by removing the lines and flushing out all the suds.

Bissell Power wash /powerbrush sprays the carpet ok ,but when empty doesn't fill up with any dirty water from the carpet .Is there anything I am not doing correctly

It sounds like the suction isn't working right. Check the dirt tank to make sure it is on correct and check the red plastic filter on the dirt tank to make sure that it isn't clogged.

How do i put belts on a bissell powerbrush steam cleaner?

If this is the model i'm thinking of. Make sure the units unplugged from the wall. There should be about six phillips head screws to remove. The motor should now be exposed. This is a good time to clean up the inside of the unit. Use liquid wrench or WD-40 and lubricate any moving parts. Make sure the brush is in good shape some require you to rotate or flip the brush to even out the wear. I hope this has been helpful.... : )

My bissell powerbrush won't **** up the water

had same problem - carpet soaked with dirty water and very little, if any, cleaning fluid used. Easily remedied. Removed water resevoir and found that the rectangular shaped washer at the top of the front cover (the bit you had unscrewed to give a good clean) had become dislodged. It has small lugs on either size which lock on to the plastic opening when pushed down firmly. Resevoir then sits on top and makes full connection, also ensure that grey locking handle is fully pushed down.

Seemed to me that the water wasn't being sucked up as there was air getting in and this has down the trick. Sorry if this is difficult to follow but all will become clear when you look for the black washer! Good luck

Poor suction-need to know how to remove & clean filter under canister of Hoover Wind Tunnel Mach 4.7 Twin Chamber System.

I assume this is a Hoover Bagless, if poor suction, the hose or dirt inlet by the brush roll may have a clog. The filter inside the dirt container may need replacement. Some had a screw to take out to remove the cover for the filter, the one under where hte dirt container sits. Alos the belt may be stretch and won't turn the brush roll under load. Having the model number would help.
