I cleaned the filter THANKS to this website! I was getting an F message before and a grinding noise during drain/spin cyle. The filter (which I didn't know existed down below) was horrible! I highly suggest cleaning those things out if you haven't already. Now It stopped half through a new cyle and says sud??? any suggestions?
I cleaned my filter and found a plastic clothes label and did not really see anything else. I started another load of clothes and immediately go the Sud error. I cleared that and then restarted the cycle and then got the F-35 error. Any suggestions?I cleaned my filter and found a plastic clothes label and did not really see anything else. My manual says that Sud means that you are using too much soap. The washer will say this mid cycle until it gets rid of the extra "suds" and should then resume the cycle. If it doesn't, then you have a different problem.

Push the pause/cancel button twice to clear your message. Then run through a rinse/spin cycle. Next try a normal load without any detergent. SUDS is usually from too much detergent. If this fails, checked the hose for kinks. Check connections and if all that fails, you will probably have to replace the pump. Good Luck!
F02 is a drain error in your Kenmore washer, if
the unit is unable to drain then after 4 minutes it will display sud and then
F02. The first thing that should be done is cleaning the drain hose and the
drain pump filter, you can take out three torx screws from the bottom front
panel and then clean the area completely, lift up the cap to clean the filter.
If the error returns then check the drain pump if it is not working then
replacing the pump is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any
other questions.
A comment about 'SUD' follows my notes on filters ;-0)

Sorry but I do not know your particular machine BUT I would suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters. The motor is unable to drain all of the water in the allotted time.
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is normally behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and held in by a round cover/knob.
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!

'SUD' stands for suds or sudding meaning that the machine cannot empty properly because there is too much 'air'/bubbles for it to do so. It maybe that you are using too much powder, fluid or too many tablets for you wash. When SUD appears the machines usually go through extra rinses to try and get rid of the suds before continuing. Hope all of this helps and good luck!

Either your pump or filter or outlet hose is blocked Clean out the filter/pump and make sure the outlet hose is not blocked. Difficult to help without make/model??????????
The problem is in the drain system as what error code OE stands for.The grinding noise is coming from the drain pump. Loose change, hair pins and the likes can get into the pump filter and sometimes into the pump impeller causing a grinding noise during the spin cycle because the pump works while the machine is spinning. The pump impeller may also be broken causing the grinding noise.
Disconnect power then open the filter door on the bottom left of the cabinet.
Remove the drain plug and drain the water out completely into a shallow basin or the likes. Once drained, lay a piece of towel under the filter then turn the filter knob counterclockwise and remove it. Clean the filter and reach in the pump impeller to check it if blocked or broken. If cleaning the filter does not solve the problem, you need to access the drain pump assembly and check the pump particularly the impeller thoroughly. Click on the link below for the detailed procedure in accessing the drain pump assembly.
Hi there I have found this and i hope this gets you in the right direction. Merry X-mas and Happy New Year also.
Sud
SUDS
LOCK (Overdose of Detergent detected during the Wash Cycle)
The
motor control unit senses a suds lock condition by analyzing
the current draw on the drive motor. If "Sud"
is displayed a potential suds lock is detected. This may
signify a bad pump, an extra heavy load, excessive detergent,
or excessive suds.
If
too much detergent was used, run the unit through a Rinse/Spin
cycle, then a Normal cycle, without adding any detergent.
This should clear the unit of the excess detergent.
Check
the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.

It is a long drain error. The washer is not fully drained after 10 minutes of draining. Remove the cabinet cover and check the following:
Drain pump filter The filter maybe clogged with foreign objects, clean it. If the filter is damaged, foreign objects may get into the pump impeller and clog it. Keys, coins and pins in the impeller maybe causing the noise.
Drain hose The hose maybe frozen, kinked, twisted or crushed. Repair or replace if necessary.
Connector The connector may disconnected or disassembled. Reassemble or repair if necessary.
Drain pump coil Check pump coil resistance between the terminals using an ohmmeter. Resistance should be between 10-20 ohms. If the resistance is too high or too low, replace the drain pump.
Voltage Check the voltage between the connector in step 3 during spin. The voltage should be 120Vac, else replace the main board assembly.
Regarding the grinding noise, run the machine while the cabinet cover is open and check or observe where is the noise coming from. If it is coming from the motor:
Check if the bolts are loosened. Re-tighten it loose.
Replace the motor stator and rotor assembly if still noisy.
hello fo2 means if the drain time exceeds 8 minutes the water valves are turned off and f/02 flashes. things to check / check the drain hose for any kinks and blockages check the electrical connection to the pump make sure the pump is running / check the drain pump filter make sure its not block if these do not sort the problem replace the pump. to clear the display press pause and cancel to clear good luck
