Olympus E-300 Digital SLR storing black images.

Most likely the shutter "curtain" (a few pieces looking like sheet metal just behind the mirror, designed to protect the camera CCD from dust and damage due to too much light) is not opening. This will require servicing by Olympus, since you will have to take the camera apart to be able to reach this camera part. Unfortunately, this may be a pretty expensive repair.

Blurred Images with Olympus E520

When operating any digital camera, the camera tries to capture the best focus and exposure for that particular scene. By pressing the shutter button half-way down, the focus and exposure is being set. There will be a green circle on the upper left hand corner of the screen, then your camera is ready to take the picture. Slowly depress the shutter the rest of the way down to take the picture.

Clearing pictures from olympus D-510 zoom media card

The manual for your camera is here

On page 55 of the PDF file it is explained how to delete images selectively.

On page 125 it is shown how to erase all the images at once.

Attention, the page numbering of the PDF file and the manual itself are not the same. PDF-file page 55 is manual page 45.

Hope that helps

Cheers

I use Thumber to do it. It tells me everything I want to know - shutter > speed, F stop, ISO, zoom position, date and time down to the second, > plus some other things I don't remember. Thumber was freeware when > I downloaded it.

AF mode

Full-time AF keeps the image on the LCD monitor focused at all times without having to press the shutter release button. Note the following: Using full-time AF will drain the battery more quickly Full-time AF is not available when the LCD monitor is turned off For "Card set-up" or "Card cover alarm", the AF operation of the camera does not halt. Once resumed, the camera always puts the AF in action for immediate focusing
